Forums - Sony Discussion - PSVR Runs Poorly on the Regular PS4(Rumor)

Neh, i think somebody is just getting mad, that the pre-orders for it keep selling out in no time at all.

Lol, right.

And all the journalists who tested PSVR games until now had a PSNeo in front of them without knowing it! It's one thing to say that the PS4 can't handle all games with VR, but it's pure sensationalism to say that it's awful. And coming from one anonymous developer only, yeah...

Anonymous rumours aside, the games shown in VR until now have been, for the most part, tech demos. Even the ones that are the most fleshed out are not that deep compared to regular games. So when those games do arrive, and they start asking for power, they are going to find themselves terribly constricted. And I don't think VR can survive as a bussiness with just indie titles, the big companies will have to come too or it will be ignored in time.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

Come join The 2018 Obscure Game Monthly Review Thread.

Dont buy it. Iv read 100s of impressions of PSVR and it works fine.

Since I know first hand that the majority of people who only use consoles will claim that all games run "just fine" I'm going to assume that this rumor comes from someone who is used to a different kind of performance.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

I call BS. Sony already said 60 fps is required.

It will just sacrifice resolution and graphics quality to achieve that though. Dont expect Uncharted 4 graphics on VR.

That's sort of what I've been expecting and saying for a couple months now. The hardware is going to have a tough time working at the required minimum fps, honestly. That's been the only really understandable justification I've seen for a possible Neo. But VR could easily be back to dead by then if people realize PSVR is (if this is true) a scam.

You should check out my YouTube channel, The Golden Bolt!  I review all types of video games, both classic and modern, and I also give short flyover reviews of the free games each month on PlayStation Plus to tell you if they're worth downloading.  After all, the games may be free, but your time is valuable!

Not only would that make PSVR a more difficult sell, but there have been tons of playable demos and tons of different events running on current PS4s.

So who do you believe? Some random guy? Or the countless impressions of ppl, and footage of ppl playing, that shows VR games running well enough?

Im pretty sure we are supposed to ignore the thousands of good impressions and accept this one negative one.  That is how the internet works...
