"Irony" It seems you use words you dont understand.

If you dont see the difference between sharing your opinion and impose what is the good opinion to have, iand i'm not the only one to say this to you, that's sad.

I'm saying people are entitled to their opinion. You guys are twisting my words to make it seem otherwise.

In a nutshell, go away.

I know people have opinions but I can't really fathom how somebody could honestly call Tomb Raider and its sequel "bad".

The reboot was Unchartified, and I hate uncharted games. I haven't played the sequel and I don't intend to.

Tomb Raider was its own thing, the original triology had such a great impact on me as a gamer. The reboot was definitely not what I wanted or expected. People seem to have forgetton how huge those games were, on hardware with extremely limited power. I expected the original ideas to be improve and expanded, but I got a linear game that pretends to be not so linear, handholding, popups telling me there a SECRET Tomb close to where I am standing, and mainly a third person shooter.

Here is a reminder of the original TR games:

People used to argue that the original Uncharted is another Tomb Raider with a male character, they couldn't be more wrong. The only similarity was the similar environment..... until the reboot happened.

Yeah..... Tomb Raider sucked (in my opinion) back then. I can't deny it. I bought them all. It was the definition on an annual game that lacked polish.  Of the originals, I only really enjoyed 1, 2, and TLR but I'm not even sure i enjoyed them . I just forced my way through them. Angel of Darkness was the nail in the coffin.

I jumped for joy when Tomb Raider Legend came out. That was "Tomb Raider Unchartified" in my opinion and it came out BEFORE Uncharted! Bought it and 100% it for PS2, Xbox 360, and PSP.

Uhhh... watching that kinda makes me naucious. The gameplay in those titles was just boring to me, never got into them.

The new Tomb Raiders aren't that linear, they actually offer a lot in regard to exploration.

I have seen a couple of playthroughs of Rise of the Tomb Raider (haven't exactly played it but I will when PS4 comes out).
Uncharted 4 has the Story, Characters, Visuals and Gunplay in the bag. Rise does everything else better in gameplay. So it's a double edged sword, do you like story over gameplay? Uncharted, gameplay over story? Rise.

I really think that Rise is missing it's own identity, to me it looks like it just trying to catch up with Uncharted in terms of set pieces and globetrotting treasure hunting (Ironic because OG Tomb Raider kinda did it first). Now that Uncharted is over, the road is clear. They already nailed the gameplay, all they need to do now is to have a really damn good story, an interesting quest and better character development for Lara in Tomb Raider 3, then they can have all that GOTY glory.

Not condescending to those who liked the reboot. More power to you.

I, however, didn't like it, nothing original about them that grabbed me, and I don't like the Uncharted games. Arrow + X and Nathan makes super cool pseudodangerous jump! Phew, he made it!  ...Barf.

The Last of Us is a different story though.

If we're talking about shooting waves large groups of enemies, I give the edge to Uncharted. But that isn't what the combat in Tomb Raider 2013 or RotTR is about.

The Tomb Raider games have a focus on stealth. Trying to have a gunfight with a group is a struggle.

Yea I never felt the stealth was all that good in TR and I love stealth games. It started off good (in fact the whole TR game started off great) but then it just gets bad. After playing 2/3's of the game I was just rushing through it to finish. The guy walking around the whole island in TR was just stupid and made no sense at all. I'm sure UC has some stupid stuff like this in it's story but this just caught my eye so much and really irritated me espicially because the story started off so great in TR.

It's hard to say but I'm liking the UC franchise a bit better.

Havent played either yet. No comment
