I call it now, it's a sausage.

Well, it's always a good idea to not assume that a girl isn't interested in something just because of her gender. I don't know why you would question her sex just because she likes computers.

What?! Of course I assume stuff because of gender. Didn't I just reason why? I have never heard of a woman even remotely interested in computer hardware, so a specialist like Emily Rogers is extremely rare, no matter your politically correct fantasy wishes.

It's not just that you're assuming an anonymous person's gender, it's that she states that she's female yet you still question it. Even if it is rare I don't see any reason to believe that she is not male unless it can be proven that she isn't.

First of all, rumors. Second of all, who the hell is Emily Rogers!?

Hmm... this Emily Rogers person sure has been loud ever since the Paper Mario rumor came true. She had also said Zelda U/NX will have voice acting didn't she, so we'll know soon enough if she's just taking advantage of a lucky guess or actually does have insider knowledge.

There is a tons of differences between a wii u and a Xbox one . Those are checkboxes Nintendo needs to tick so that it can be in the race. It s not just about power

-X86 instead of power pc (power pc is over and done)

-8GB of RAM vs 2GB on WiiU

-at least 500GB of HDD

-better OS and online service with more functionalities

These are the requirements. Now, problem is things have changed since 2013, the NEO and one.5 could change a lot of things

Unless third partys make their games exclusively for them then they shouldn't change anything. NX still only really needs to match XBO.

You never have heard that people lie? Especially on the internet. People, guys, act like girls to get attention. It's extremely common.

He writes like a man on twitter, that combined with the fact that women don't care about computer hardware makes me confident he's a man pretending to be a woman to get attention.

And there are people that dont lie.And there are aliens that pass as humans. And computer programs that like to act like babies.

This type of discussion not only will go nowhere, but it also totally unrelated to the topic. Please dont derail it.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

Does the discussion about the gender of the author have anything to do with the topic at hand? At this point both of you are starting to derail this thread.

Shouldn't there be some felixibility to topics to some degree? I know there's a point where a topic becomes derailed, I know that must be avoided, but related topics should be possible to be mentioned when it's not enough to start a separate thread.

Related topic in this case is that if it's a guy pretending to be girl for more attention, we might be giving this person more credit than he/she deserves.

Because it is a failed product and nothing is going to change that, they need a fresh start.

Isn't this kinda like the failed strategy all over again though? Who's going to be excited for a system that might not even be as powerful as an XBox One, several years too late to the market?

There has to be some unreal gimmick here or it has to be portable.

No, not necessarily, Wii U had multiple problems that contributed to its failure.

Marketing-Name in general led many to believe it was an add-on to Wii, which was a declining brand to begin with. The overall look of the console was very similar to Wii, again too much in common with a fadimg product.

Advertising-Has been advertised almost exclusively on children's networks making it unseen to many demographics plus the advertisements are far and few between.

Software output-It has gone through many droughts, it has been common to go 3-4 months between major releases so any potential momentum a new game creates is killed by the time the next major game releases.

Price-$299/349 isn't expensive in and of itself but it is expensive for a device that is much less powerful, has much less features and much less games than similarly priced devices.

Controller-The Gamepad is better served as an optional accessory. It greatly increased the price of the console and many times the dual screen focus distracted from the gameplay by having to look from one screen to the next, only a few games made strong use of it.

A console with better marketing/advertising, steady flow of new releases, better price for what it offers and a controller that is better recieved has a very high chance of doing better than Wii U even if its not super powerful.

When the herd loses its way, the shepard must kill the bull that leads them astray.

Of course, there's flexibility in every topic to a certain degree and this warning isn't here to prevent discussion about the credibility of Emily Rogers. However so far in your discussion you have provided no evidence to back up your arguments other than, "He writes like a man on twitter" and "I call it now, it's a sausage.". If you're going to take this thread in a new direction then at least provide some concerte evidence to justify it instead of conjecture.
