Forums - Gaming Discussion - Why is there so much internet outrage for Sony Japanese Games that gets digital only western launch than Nintendo?

Why is there so much outrage because people didn't know about some outrage?

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

Are you joking? There was a huge outrage for AA5 not getting a physical release and people are disatisfied with AA6 not having it aswell.

You are taking this literally out of your rear end.

Uh, people 'were' upset about AA5 but obviously it was more expected that AA6 would go the same route, hence why there isn't as much outrage over it (even though if you took the time, you could clearly see that some people are still disappointed). There was also a lot of disappointment about Fatal Frame 5 being digital only. I think this is a case of selective attention.

Even if it was true that there was more outrage for digital-only Sony games, who the hell cares? What is the point of this thread exactly?

Your example with AA6 doesn't really work, because in context, both AA5 and the AA Trilogy got digital releases, and a good chunk of people were mad at that, so when AA6 was confirmed digital only, the reason why not too many people went super crazy was simply because it wasn'ta huge surprise.

There are several examples of games where Nintendo fans cleary did make an outcry whenever games were digital only, such as the release of Fatal Frame 5 in the U.S.

While there certainly are people who are gonna get mad over digital only games, you are over generalizing Sony fans as people who go crazy over every non-physical release, and Nintendo fans as people who don't care about anything.

This is getting a lock.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."
