Forums - Sony Discussion - Rumor: Dr. Neo Cortex Voice Actor May Have Teased Crash Bandicoot’s Revival On PS4

i don't know how activision will be able to ever handle Crash.

There are good chances that Activision doesn't own Crash anymore...

EDIT: Of course there are risks. Of course there are unanswered questions and we don't know anything about it, like the studio in charge of it. But do you prefer to have hope and be enthusiastic about a huge historic IP's return in new conditions, or to immediately say "Oh, it's surely gonna be bad, I don't want it, I like my IPs dead, thanks". You're surely a lot of fun during E3 presentations...

Ugh, stop teasing me Sony. T_T

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

The Knack II leak pretty much gave it away

I still don't get it. Why are you hyped for this? Naughty dog ain't gonna develop it. How will this game be any different than the 360/PS3 ones? Why wasn't there hype for those? It's irrational from my pov.

Because its a classic... though maybe seen a little through tinted glasses, its great having the classics back.

Making an indie game : Dead of Day!

I'm torn on this. I have a really hard time believing that Sony is going to throw money at big studio to make a AAA platformer. If it happens, I see them either making:

- A small game that sticks to Crash's roots and is $20 on PSN, which people will complain about
- They DO go the AAA route but 'modernize' the gameplay, which people will complain about

Platinums: Red Dead Redemption, Killzone 2, LittleBigPlanet, Terminator Salvation, Uncharted 1, inFamous Second Son, Rocket League

Or they go the already successful Ratchet way, with a $40 half-modernized game ;)

When I say modernize, I'm not talking graphics or control tweaks, I'm talking changing the gameplay fundamentally in order to appeal to a broader audience. R&C has the advantage of being a game that has always had 'modern' elements in its games (im talking about guns).  R&C didn't need to change its gameplay to fit into the 2016 gaming scene.  I think Crash would need to change quite a bit of its gameplay to 'modernize'.

All my opinion obvs.  At the current rate what will most likely happen is someone will get on stage at E3 wearing a crash shirt and then no game will be announced ha

Well, I'll keep hype in check until we see how good it will be if they decide to produce it.

duduspace11 "Well, since we are estimating costs, Pokemon Red/Blue did cost Nintendo about $50m to make back in 1996"

Mr Puggsly: "Hehe, I said good profit. You said big profit. Frankly, not losing money is what I meant by good. Don't get hung up on semantics"

Azzanation: "PS5 wouldn't sold out at launch without scalpers."

Exclusive to Vita4K.

nostalgia.

if the game is real and the reveal is poor the hype will quickly turn to hate.  right now the game is unannounced so the game is exactly what each gamer wants it to be.  i myself have never played a crash game but i enjoy the genre so i have mild hype just because i'm always happy to hear about another platformer.
