I'm torn on this. I have a really hard time believing that Sony is going to throw money at big studio to make a AAA platformer. If it happens, I see them either making:

- A small game that sticks to Crash's roots and is $20 on PSN, which people will complain about
- They DO go the AAA route but 'modernize' the gameplay, which people will complain about

Or they go the already successful Ratchet way, with a $40 half-modernized game ;)

When I say modernize, I'm not talking graphics or control tweaks, I'm talking changing the gameplay fundamentally in order to appeal to a broader audience. R&C has the advantage of being a game that has always had 'modern' elements in its games (im talking about guns).  R&C didn't need to change its gameplay to fit into the 2016 gaming scene.  I think Crash would need to change quite a bit of its gameplay to 'modernize'.

All my opinion obvs.  At the current rate what will most likely happen is someone will get on stage at E3 wearing a crash shirt and then no game will be announced ha
