If I would have had a bad day or something at that particular day, I could have easily gotten a score below 100 or something. Also, I knew of the test two weeks in advance. Plenty of time to prepare myself. I don't know if the tests today are different, but mine means nothing at all to me. |
Same. But its damn useful to have these documents at hand, for your CV, if not just a nice memento for later life. Heck, I have almost every cert or results for almost all tests I've taken after 12 or 13ish. I haven't seen them in years but its nice to know they are there, ya know?

It's nice to have that number, I'm not entirely sure would it be something to add to a C.V. I mean I guess you could but it's worth keeping in mind there have been a lot of studies on the IQ system to show it's flawed, a fast google on it brings up stories such as
http://www.independent.co.uk/news/science/iq-tests-are-fundamentally-flawed-and-using-them-alone-to-measure-intelligence-is-a-fallacy-study-8425911.html
the main part of this to take away is simply "“It has always seemed to be odd that we like to call the human brain the most complex known object in the Universe, yet many of us are still prepared to accept that we can measure brain function by doing a few so-called IQ tests,” Dr Highfield said."
Outside of the simple fact that measuring someones intelligence as a 3 (hopefully) digit number based on a series of questions is a complete farce you also have the fact that people can have "off days" or even off hours or minutes, heck you could have the most powerful brain on the planet, but have it in the body of someone who suffers from anxiety or nerves when it comes to testing like this so the test results of the person would be incorrect (more so).
From another article
"Quite a few IQ tests measure “general knowledge.” Here’s an actual IQ question this lister came across when he was 5: “What color is an apple?” Well, the only apples this lister had seen in his first 5 years were green. Got that one wrong. There are quite a few colors of apples. Some are more than one color. Mensa’s test includes questions like, “2D is to mobius strip as 3D is to ______.” Google says the answer is “Klein bottle.” Now that we know, are we smarter? Einstein once said that he did not like to clutter up his memory with facts and numbers that he could just look up in a dictionary."
general knowledge questions deciding the ability of your brain power, amazing.
