This has really been bugging me recently and it has me a bit worried about NX and third parties. Many games on the Wii U were bad ports and were either missing features or were not even on Par with the Xbox 360 and ps3 versions. Some fo these third party games even launched a lot later on the Wii U than on other consoles. These games sold horrible and it was deserved because they were bad ports or late ports. Now the thing is that there are also Wii U third party games that are really good and are on par with the other versions. Call of Duty bo2 only sold around 250k and it was on par with the other versions but because of the bad sales it only got one DLC map. Assassins Creed Black Flag was on par with the other 360 and ps3 versions but it sold around 300k. Fifa 13 an on par port sold 450k. Even third party exclusive games didn't do that well and they barely scratched the million mark. ZombiU was barely able to reach one million. Lego city Undercover is just a little bit over a million, and Bayonetta 2 hasn't even sold a million units yet.

I'm worried because the Wii u did get lots of bad and late ports but the solid third party games that it did get didn't even sell that way, and I see this happening on NX if Nintendo fans don't support it.

I'm just wondering if NX gets third party supports and the games are good ports will you guys be supporting these?

I would buy the ones I'm interested in. Things that I can get cheaper and better on my computer I'll get there.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

Probably not since I buy my third party games on my PS4. The NX version of third party games would need to have some significant advantage over the PS4 ones for me to consider buying them.

I was utterly and completely in love with Rayman Legends. It's still one of the best games on the system and it deserved way more sales than it got, but it got mine.

I also would have loved to see ports of DA inquisition, Bioshock Infinite (Hell I'd have loved to see a straight up Boishock port) and DS ports even thogh none of that is likely to ever happen. I don't think we'll ever see any of those properties on Nintendo consoles because of their kid friendly image. Some developers straight up seem unwilling to work with them, sadly.
So yes, provided there is quality content provided I would support third party ports that interest me.

As long as they have the same quality as the other console version i can (potentially) own, of course.I dont care which platform i buy at, as long as the experience is the same or better.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

Depends on the third parties and how they treat the system, already on PC I find myself with ire towards some 3rd parties due to some shit port jobs, the same has happened on other systems before, especially with Nintendo and I honestly won't support a third party on any system if it;s port or general quality is crap.

If they want me to support third parties on the system then the ports better be really good, if not then they simply lose out on my money.

Step right up come on in, feel the buzz in your veins, I'm like an chemical electrical right into your brain and I'm the one who killed the Radio, soon you'll all see

So pay up motherfuckers you belong to "V"

Yes, unfortunately though I think Nintendo lost the market for the "big" third party games like 20 years ago.

Those were the people who grew up on the NES/SNES but bailed out on Nintendo once the Playstation became the defacto gaming brand.

The people who buy Nintendo consoles now are basically just Nintendo faithful who primarily only want Nintendo games and/or are content with buying a second console for anything else they need.

The only 3rd party games I'm really interested in are Japanese developed 3rd party games. Western 3rd party games tend to blend in together to me in the sense that once you've played one game of a specific genre, it feels like you've played them all -- open-world games (or ubisoft games in general) being a good example of that.

That being said, I completely understand the need for western 3rd parties if the NX is going to succeed and I can see myself buying a western 3rd party game here and there if it piques my interest.

I would buy a third-party game if it is worth buying. No lazy and cheap ports (why not have the Mass Effect Trilogy instead of just Mass Effect 3 for Wii U and why can't Watch Dogs Wii U have the DLC like the others?) or half-assed attempts of a game in general. Rayman Legends is an example of a great third-party game, though unfortunately, it had to be delayed just to be released along with the X360 and PS3 ports. If you "attempt" to develop games for any console, at least put the effort.

Depends on the games, but if there are ones I would like to play, then of course
