Harder =/= more fun

Find it kinda shocking how they dare to steal so many ideas from Dark Souls. To make it even worse the graphics and framerate are horrible for a PS4 exclusive. The controls also feel somewhat unresponsive.

Ni-oh was announced in 2005 as a PS3 exclusive, the first souls didnt show up until 2009.  Maybe someone from From software took the idea from Team Ninja and made a new game...also Its an alpha build.

Honestly, if they were influenced by anything, I'd say it was PC game called Severance: Blade of Darkness from 2001- first time I've played Souls I thought "wow, finally something similar"...though Souls don't have as good combat and you can't hack enemies into pieces and chuck their limbs at other foes. ;)

Is it as rewarding? And is it fair?

well you get free DLC for the game if you beat the  first level in the demo

Well the OG kings fields started the souls games back for me in 1996, i started with kings field III and when I played demons souls, I didnt know the developer but it was the first game to come to my mind

Honestly, if you treat every encoutner like it's own boss fight, you'll do fine. I find that most people (myself included) get really lazy during "normal enemies" and don't bother to play the game well.

I'm not into overly difficult games like souls and this.
I have to deal with alot of shit on the job and in real life and I just don't have the patience for these kind of games.
I like a challenge, for example Bayonetta was perfect on normal and even hotline miami was awesome, but I see no point in torture games like souls and Nioh.

imo Soulsborne games are easier than Bayonetta on normal - well, on PS3 atleast (Bayo PS3 had very inconsistent framerates making it harder)

Sounds tough. Is the alpha still open?

OMG !

I met the same exact guy, he did the same things and i reached the second one two only thanks to him, i wonder if he's not a developer, or maybe the first man to finish the demo in the world

Oh yeah? I wonder if it really is a developer, or the same guy. Did you catch his name? Maybe I can see it under recently met players.

Cant remember, i think it starts by M and is à long name

Predictions for end of 2014 HW sales:

 PS4: 17m   XB1: 10m    WiiU: 10m   Vita: 10m

I really hope Team Ninja doesn't lower the difficulty for the final release.

This Demo is amazing! I can only complain about the frames performance.

But they still have time, and with the right choices, they could deliver what may be the next big thing in action adventure.

I feel like the game needs to ease you into it better. Not explaining game mechanics or controls at all before fights with multiple enemies is bad game design.

Yeah, I know of KF, never played any though, just watched few videos back when Demon's launched - from what I remeber seeing they do kinda have similar atmo, though I'm not sure about much else (well, there's stamina combat I guess).

I'm not sure if Spanish guys who made Severance were influnced by KF...and maybe folks from FromSoftware never heard of Severance...but to me (and few other Severance fans I know personally) Souls sure felt A LOT like that (which was a good thing)...though I've always felt that Souls' simplified combat system was somewhat lacking.
