how exactly is it working in Microsofts favor?

They convinced Jega, and Jega isn't easy to please.

Not according to tachikoma ! She let everyone know what pleases Jega!

Of course, it's a good move. I mean Sony did it last gen and looked what it did to the PS3.

As long as they have the "fastest selling game on a rainy tuesday", they will be fine.

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

There's plenty of people talking about Xbox One just not on multiplatform sites since its pointless wasting time scanning through the 20 posts that are just trolling/hating on Microsoft before you come to each decent post hence why most Xbox fans stopped bothering with vghcartz.

Customers don't care about those numbers anyways, just the fanboys do. Those numbers don't tell you if your friends or family members bought one.

Microsoft is a service based company, so even stockholders don't care .

That final statement is absolutely stupid.

Microsoft's decision to keep Xbox One console sales private is paying off.

Gamers are no longer talking about the console's unit numbers, but are talking about what really matters, the games that are coming to the console.

I never thought Microsoft would have made a move like that, and I thought the move wasn't necessary, but when you are trying to sell a product to as many people as possible, finding a way to eliminate any negative news about that product is just smart business.

You mean games that are coming to PC?
