I don't think so, it's just a hobby. A way to spend your free time. There's nothing wrong about that :P

Gaming actually encouraged me to look into Computer Science as a kid because I wanted to know how the systems worked and how I could make my own games, and that's the route I'm currently taking in life, so no :P

Its much more "productive" and "active" than watching TV.. But yes.. if you play all day every day.. then its proberlly not good for you.. either for the health.. or for the mind.

I feel that gaming is a hobby that can help to open up people's imaginations, which can help people to becoming more creative and outgoing.

Did you know that it's been scientifically proven that people who play Super Mario Sunshine turn out to be a lot more helpful IRL?

Obviously, there is some moderation that needs to be involved when it comes to playing games, and it's very easy to get addicted to gaming to the point where it is indeed unhealthy.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

Do you consider art a bad habit?

Personally, although gaming is not as productive as I would like to believe, it serves as a perfect de-"stressor" for me. It's perfectly fine to have some gaming or tv or film every now and then (as you said, in moderation).

Well it's better than watching TV all day, but like any form of entertainment too much is harmful.

Define "intelligent".

Potentially a big distraction for kids, I think I played a bit too much when I was younger but thats why parents should regulate play time.

As an adult its a much needed distraction! I only wish more games appealed to in this day and age.

It's completely unproductive. Just as unproductive as watching most TV, or drinking, or partying.

It's an entertainment medium. Do many spend TOO much time gaming? Yes. But it's not bad in moderation. Just like whiskey.

And whiskey is a good thing.

A hobby that isn't productive is not a necessarily bad thing, it's supposed to be fun. Watching TV and playing games is a great thing to do to relax and forget your problems for a while, I only see a problem with it when you start prioritizing that over things you should be doing (Working, house chores, etc..).
