I Don't know what Norse, means in my language, but if have Odin, Thor, and Loki, so might be Nordic Mythology, Disney, will let Kratos, kill Odin, and Thor ?, i don't think so.

Disney doesn't have the rights to another culture's gods from which their comic book characters are based off of.

Its gonna be Kratos' long lost twin brotherly cousin from another universe.

Disney got no rights on thor, odin or any of them, it´s a old religious culture that dates back to 1700s and Norse means Norway, the northern people of scandinavia who reigned as powerful warriors for over 400 years who had Odin as the father of gods, similare to how it is with Zeus.<

I really hope this is not true. But if it is, I I hope that it continues the story of GOWIII, and now the norse gods are taking the reigns of the world since the most greek gods are dead.. GOW without Kratos is not GOW, damn at least Deimos should be in it

It would be funny that Santa Monica Studios made an all in with all the Gods, from egiptian to nordic, to whatever.

The story would be that the god syndicate ( ) reunites to discuss about Kratos killing all the greek gods, so they have to make a team to destroy Kratos.

The Norse or North People and the Nordic Gods date farther back than that.  Been around for over a thousand years, in the middle ages the famous Norse Vikings raided across Europe.

Safe to say the Nordic religion is public domain and no company can claim ownership over the stories or gods within it.

The concept art looks amazing, protagonist seems to have tattoos like Kratos but looks different and actually wears pants lol. Also the axe suggests they are revamping the combat system, which is great but I hope the Nemean Cestus and Claws of Hades from GOW III return in some form.

I don't mind having Kratos myself, but he seems to be divisive to the gaming community and I won't mind a new protagonist either. Gamplay is king and GOW delivers in spades in that department! :D

But that was why he is angry. You can't tell me that because you kill your enemy you are suddenly no longer sad over losing your familiy.

If you think sadness is a primary motivating factor for Kratos throughout the series, then it's like you never bothered to play any of the games.

What drives Kratos is the burden of guilt he suffers for what he did to his family. GoW1 sets this up with Kratos seeking to have his memories erased. He isn't confronting his actions head on and is trying to sweep it under a rug. Which is why the forgiveness offered from the Gods means nothing.

Then this comes full circle when towards the end of GoW3, Kratos is forced into his own psyche. And with the help of Pandora, Kratos is finally able to overcome his guilt by forgiving himself.

His wife even says as much to him: to be forgiven you must find the power to forgive yourself. Which is what he does and unlocks the full power of Hope, from Pandora's Box.

His sadness still remains but its not the defining emotion of his character. He is no longer angry because he has been able to finally get rid of the guilt he had been living with for so many years. That burden is lifted off his shoulders by the end of GoW3.

So yes, he is no longer the angry guy many of you still define him as. I'm sure he will still have anger as a feature of his character but it won't be a primary force for his character going forward, if they choose to stick with him.

Ofcourse guilt was a factor. Don't pretend like i said it wasn't.

Guilt can make you sad, and i said he was sad.

Well you haven't menioned guilt at all in this entire thread. Just that he was sad. So...

Yeah I know what you said. And like I said, his sadness is not the defining emotion attached to his character. It's a product of his guilt, much like how his anger is as well.

And the betrayal of the gods is also a factor sure. But i didn't say anything wrong did i? It would just seem you made it out to look like i said something wrong when you implied i hadn't played the game.
