Those good old playstation2 days when i whas a lot younger, without money i didnt really had a big selection of games to play on the ps2.

Now iam at 350games yet i dont really play them,ps3 whas a "okej" ish time and the ps4 is definitely the next ps2 yet i keep buying but not playing it enough.

Yesterday i saw an amazing video from game shack about the ps2 (almost 50min long)  saw so many great looking games and it made me think..

Why iam not playing more on this great system with cheap games yet buying expensive at launch games on the ps4 but getting bored after 3-5hours(some of them not ofcourse)

Games like

persona4

persona3

Hack series

Arc the lad series

Ico and shadow of the colossus.

And so many more.

For some weird reason i love most of these old school 3d graphics much more than the graphics we have now(i know its weird)

Maybe thats just part of the nostalgic?

So,i think its time to go back to playing ps2 games and leave the ps4 behind a bit(still be playing the exclusives and waiting for pricedrops)

Kind regards: klaudkil.

This has literally been me and my brother lately. My ps2 collection was around 10-12 games last year and now it's over 60. I think I've probably played my ps4 two or three times since Christmas and the rest has been ps2.

Have also bought multiple old ps2 magazines with their demo discs. Also ordered a nice pair of component cables for my crt and I'm a happy camper.

I'm sure this will change soon with better ps4 games coming out this year though. But for now I'm enjoying my ps2 all over again.

Ha, got myself a new (used) ps1 and played ff9 for the first time after watching as a kid how my siblings played this game, waiting for ff6 to be in my post today (or so I hope^^).

I understand exactly what you mean.

Iam sick and tired of these broken bland games that needs 100patches to work.

And yes i can't wait for ratchet and clank and uncharted 4 let alone the jrpgs.

But until then its ps2 time.

Terrific system that provided me with so many hours of enjoyment. I got the ATV Off Road Fury 2 bundle that came with the Ethernet adapter and picked up a slim a few years later.

That being said, I actually play my ps4 regularly. It doesn't have as much good games yet, not sure if it ever will, but I have enjoyed my time with it so far as well.

Yeah modern games are flash n bang but not much else. Games back then seemed amazing esp games like Oot, Goldeneye, GTA 3, Max Payne etc

I also love the older style ps2 graphics as opposed to ps4. Many ps2 games still look beautiful on my crt such as mgs2/mgs3, gran turismo 3 and 4, the onimusha series and devil may cry games, sly cooper, ssx, and tons more.

Also love the privacy of knowing no one knows I'm playing since there was no friend list so I wouldn't be bothered by constant messages or friend requests.

Perhaps it's also due to being 33 and not as young as I was during the ps2 years. But I think it mostly comes down to the shear variety ps2 offered. It literally had a game for every person and every mood, outside of Nintendo games. Which I still needed a GameCube for back then.

Also love the thread. Been thinking of making one just for this topic for awhile now but haven't.

Oh lol, I saw that gamesack video thumbnail yesterday but forgot to watch it! Thanks to remember me!

Mgs3 is also a game i never played( i know shame on me.

Ps2 has a huge library even bigger than ps3 and xbox360 combined its something we will never see ever again on consoles.

These old 3d graphics has some sort of charm to them i dont known, even if you look at ffx and then look at the recent jrpgs you will be shocked how good ffx looks.

Iam playing nights of azure and even thou the characters are awesome and the music is amazing!

The gameplay gets boring fast and the world's are ugly, uninteresting and bland.

Thats why i loved tales of zestiria so much it has such an beautiful magical world.
