.NES ROM in a .zip.  Works on emulators or real NES with a flash cart that supports MMC3.

Using combinations of MMC IRQ driven scanline splits with fine scroll manipulation and bankswitching of rotated background tiles to simulate SNES levels of parallax.

Tough question, harder to pick then the SNES and N64 ones. There's a lot of great looking NES games.

Battletoads, Duck Tales, Super Mario Bros. 3, Flintstones, Mega Man and more. My personal preference would, I think go towards Batman.

Battle of Olympus, Solar Jetman, The Guardian Legend. Probably games no one has played here.

Castlevania III!

*edit*

Well, it looked great at the time. May not have aged as well.  Maybe Gargoyle's Quest?

3 eyed story. That game was fantastic!

What is that name from?  I didn't think this was ever released under an English title.  I knew this as Mitsume ga Tooru and is in fact one of the games that inspired me to experiment with parallax on NES (and Metal Storm being another) and is actually where I ripped the BG rock pattern from.

Thats how we called this game in Russia. 99% of NES cartriges we had was chinese pirate carts. So this game name was made like this. )))
On of the first NES games I've finished. And it was just over the top, in my list its THE best game on NES.

The lack of love for Return of the Joker is disturbing.

Moon Crystal:

The Jungle Book is my favourite if u ask about graphics.

Also like to mention SMB3, Little Nemo, Contra Force, Mitsume ga Tooru (3 Eyes Boy), Battletoads, Robocop 3.

The Guardian Legend is one of my fav NES games of all time. But I think the guys here are talking about most advanced technology or at least about best looking to the eye games.
