I feel everytime I see this manga, it's improved from the last. I really need to get back into this one. That blonde girl is a really funny one xD

I love Tomo but Carol and Misuzu are the spice in the recipe.  They're both awesome characters who add so much to the manga.  The way they're designed to contrast against one another works so well.

I'm loving the "part-time job" arc.

I'm just so shocked seeing Misuzu smiling so much in these panels. I don't really ever remember her having anything else but a relaxed look. Carol is still the same as I remember her, trolling people with that cute face xD Tomo looks more mature in the latest comics.

Don't be fooled.  That's a smile of ice and darkness.  It's the camouflage of a successful predator.

This was hilarious, especially that punch.  I kind of want to read the light novels now.

Shiori Experience Chapter 1 -

I have no idea how the rest of the manga will turn out but chapter 1 was awesome.

Growing up, Shiori's idol was her older brother.  He's the one who got her into music.  However, he took out a huge loan in order to start his music career, then skipped out when that failed.  That debt sent Shiori's family into poverty.  Shiori became a plain-Jane teacher who only cared about saving money.  She buried her dreams of being a rock musician and turned into a shell of her previous self and a joke among the students.

That is, until her 27th birthday, when she met the ghost of a very famous guitarist.

The way she was picked on and mocked made me feel so bad for her, especially considering how she'd made herself forget her own dreams.  Even her own family remarked that they'd forgotten what her smile looked like.  Watching her lose herself while playing guitar for the first time in years was honestly moving.

Yeah, the expression on those 2 at the end basically sums up how I felt seeing her put on a smile. xD Also, Tomo's looking dang cute in that 1st panel :D

It's even nicer when you see the dragon return to pay for the damages to her house. The wait for the next chapter is killing me! I just want to see more  of them two spending time together Dx

Ah, I recall seeing the cover of that manga several times on the front page actually. Never gave it a read though... Perhaps this is the time to do it now. That picture of her strumming the guitar does look pretty awesome.

Now if only CLAMP would finish X/1999 before they all retire.

Huh, I'm actually not familiar with this manga. I'll need to check this one out as well.

The artist does some really cool set pieces.  It's very dynamic for a manga, somehow, even more than some "action" manga.

I really like some of the characters, too.  The sax girl and the singer, in particular, even though they're opposites.

I admit that I'm right in the target audience for this, however, and some others might not like it as much.  Hendrix had a huge impact on me when I was younger and I still listen to his music often.  I will always love rock and blues guitar.

This is going to be long but I absolutely loved this part.  What a fantastic monologue.  Videogame villains wish they could do this.

12 hit combo directly into a fatality.  Villains are at their best when they're right.

I still need to catch up on a few manga in here, but in the meantime, here's a posting from the latest Komi-San manga.

This was a really fun chapter, seeing the younger siblings meet and interact with each other. I hope there's a few more chapters on this xD Heck, I wouldn't mind a spin off on them.

It's nice to see how the younger sister acts. I didn't expect her to be quite chatty. Quite a bit opposite from her brother xD

One Piece Chapter 900

In Joseph Joestars voice

"HOLY SHIT!!!"

I can't believe that just happened, no way that was real.

Pudding had to have alter Big Mom's memories or Luffy gain the power to see into the future. There is just no way none of them could survive that.

Also could you guys imagine if they cut to Reverie next chapter?

So I've been reading Grand Blue.

Actually, this is the second time I've tried reading it.  The first time, I got to the first "NAKED GUYS LOL" part (censored with a big dot) and was like, "nah."

I've heard so much praise for it since then, though, so I decided to give it another shot and this time read further.  However, I'm not really sure how much I actually like it.

Don't get me wrong, it can be very funny.  The reactions of the characters are so over the top that they just make you chuckle at their stupidity.

The downside is that it's basically a manga version of something like American Pie or some other raunchy college party movie.  Pretty much every chapter has the male club members drinking and striping naked.  This seems to make up roughly 50% of the humor.  It's a crutch that the manga leans on so heavily that it gets tiresome quickly.  The female members of the club pretty much ignore these things.  Oddly, even with pretty girls and lots of (male) nudity,  the girls are rarely seen in anything more revealing than a swimsuit (it's almost kind of a diving manga, after all (but not really)).  Well, one girl takes off her shirt a lot but her bra is no different than a swimsuit.

The other thing is that many of the characters are kind of jerks.  Even the main character.

Like I said, though, it is pretty funny at times, so I've kept reading it, at least for now, and the girls are mostly interesting characters.

The manga is about a guy who moves in with his uncle in order to attend a college near the ocean.  His two pretty cousins also go to the same college.  He immediately gets roped into joining the diving club (that is really more like a drinking club).
