I live in Argentina, here we preorder nintendo games because they are very niche, most gamers are pc gamers (counter strike, online multiplayer games and strategy games) or playstation gamers (fifa and shooters) I am sure Sid Meier's Civilization is much more well known here than the Legend of Zelda.
I went to store A, asked if they had the game, they told me they sold all the ones they imported in 2 days (this wednesday and thursday), I went to store B, and they had the special edition that includes the Midna amiibo.
I saw the box, and I thought, if I bought this, I would probably never open it in order to collect it, and end up buying the game digitally in order to be able to play it, which wouldnt be an intelligent use of my money, since the special edition costs around 110 dollars here
And if I were to open it, I would have an amiibo around in the room, and I dont want any amiibo, never bought one
So, I told myself, I prefer to buy this once digitally, and that is something I can do at any moment, later this year, after all, right now I am busy with fire emblem, and next month I will be busy with dark souls.
I ended up using the money to preorder Star Fox
I just wanted a normal box with a disc and nothing else.
