I'm Looking for U.S. best sellers charts back before 1994 from gaming magazines, even if they don't have sales figures just the ranking is good enough.

I know EGM in 1993 had some kind of best sellers chart (based on Software etc. or something), does anyone have some EGM issues before 1994 and wouldn't mind looking thru them and posting the data? We could really use that data for VGChartz's database.

I'm not sure about other magazines, GameFan may have had sales charts of some kind, does anyone know, care to look?

Nintendo Power I know doesn't they just have a players' favorite chart each month. 

SO anyone with some old U.S. gaming magazines from before 1994; could you look to see if there were sales charts...?

Now how much farther back can we go? Could we complete each month of 1993 or even 1992.

These were the most interesting days of the 16-bit wars b/w Genny and SNES, who were neck and neck at the time, and it would be great to see what was selling and who was leading/behind and when...

I wish you would've asked about this months ago. I had boxes full of old gaming mags. The majority was EGM and Gamepro, some dating back to the early 90's. Unfortunately I threw them out because I figured most of that info is old and could be found online if need be.

Wow, I have a lot of old EGMs from when I used to be a subscriber in the early 90's. I'd like to help, but all of them are at my parent's house and I'm really far away from California...I hope my mom doesn't chuck 'em into the garbage or something, haha. :-o

Oh wow... I used to have a subscription to a danish mag that would publish those top 10s and what not. Only Video game mag subscription I ever made (I was a young Nintendo gamer back then :P).

I bet I have them hidden some where, but I cant be bothered to dig 'em up.

Please go and grab them when you get a chance before your mother chunks them!

Also: on second thought, 1994-1997 sales charts would be good too b/c they include handheld (Game Boy, Game Gear) sales, I believe; and we don't have handheld charts until about 1998-99.
