Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Zelda Wii U on Wii U vs on NX - which version will be better`?

NX or Wii U Version?

NX! I dont give a sh!t ab... 91 66.42%

Wii U! Im a Nintendo game... 46 33.58%

Total:137

I think they'll be equally good. I bet gameplay-wise the OG version will be better since it was planned for Wii U. On the other hand, the NX version should have the edge when it comes to visuals and performance, which are both very important to me as well.

Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won

How about we wait until the damn console is announced and we know what type of console it will be and what type of controller it will have before we ask this question! -_-

Cut them some slack; it's not like Nintendo fans have much else to really talk about, with Nintendo keeping us in radio silence.

The NX threads are out of hand, I've been "cutting them slack" for months.

These threads are just so pointless.

I think they will both be good. It'll be a tough call for which one to buy if it does come out on both.

I don't disagree with you.

I just sympathise with how fans feel; Nintendo have given us jack shit about NX and jack shit about Zelda U since 2014. Fans are starved for something to talk about, so they speculate, like people turning to eat beetles or grass during a famine.

just having a regular controller again (hopefully) will make Zelda on the NX a million times better. no one likes the tablet controller. A) its gigantic (seriously if you haven't held a Wii U tablet controller then check one out! way too big), and B) no one wants to stare at their hands while gaming, the whole point of comfortable controllers with logical button layouts is so players DONT have to lose their immersion and constantly look away from the screen

I'm excited for the NX. I'm hoping to god its a traditional Nintendo system with no gimmicks. I find it interesting (and not a coincidence) that the last truly great Nintendo home console (IMO) was the Gamecube, a system that strived for great graphics of the time and had an awesome comfortable relatively classic controller in terms of pure use

all I know is if Zelda releases on the Wii U and NX around the same time, I will be opting for the NX version

note: I am also not a major fan of the pro controller. its not bad but its still not a substitute to well done MAIN console controller that Nintendo could focus on (i.e. I don't think its even better than the Gamecube controller)

NX, I guess, but I can't see Nintendo trying to make the NX version A LOT better.

I could be wrong, ofc.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

I don't know why we would assume that the NX won't have some sort of second screen like the Wii U does. Maybe not a tablet controller per se like the GamePad, but I think it will have a screen on the controller.

no screen most likely, however if the rumors about cross platforms are true (i.e. NX handheld and NX home console supporting the same games) then I think its safe to say that most likely you will be able to utilize the NX handheld as a controller for the home console

obviously total guesswork but I doubt NIntendo is going to do any sort of tablet on their controller after how poorly it was received this time around. and why should they? there are VERY few games that utilize that sort of feature well, and for 99% of gamers (like myself, despite being a Nintendo fan) having to look down at your hands while gaming ruins the immersion

we just want a regular controller and a system with good specs Nintendo! come on!

And yet Gamecube was a sales failure.

Likely the NX version because it would be the graphically superior version. But then again, TP on GC was probably overall seen as the better one.
