The 3DS is a nice system. It has  some nice games, but I don't own one. Why, you ask? Because I won't buy this hardware with 240p screens in 2016. It's just not acceptable. Many games look terrible on the system. Have you seen Hyrule Warriors Legends? It's ugly. And its power is the next problem. I don't know concrete specs, but really? We have the year 2016! You can't sell this piece of hardware in 2016. It's painful for Nintendo. Nintendo needs to move on. We would all profit from that. With a more powerful hardware and better screen resolution we would have a better gaming experience. Games like Hyrule Warriors Legends or Xenoblade 3D could look much better. Indie Devs could port there games more easily to the hardware. Western AAA Devs may get interest back in Nintendo's handhelds. 

What do you think? IMO Nintendo NEEDS to replace this console with hardware from the last decade this year. We NEED a new portable device from Nintendo. 

And have you ever used the YouTube App of the 3DS? It's terrible with the 3DS's screen resolution.

I agree that it should be replaced, but not because of the hardware itself. It has barely had any interesting games in the last 2 years...

The sad part is that you could argue that the 3DS was technologically outdated on release -- and that was before the technology boom due to smartphones.

The hardware is aging, but considering how many sprite based games I enjoyed playing on my gaming PC last year, I really don't care when Nintendo upgrades. The later they do, the more likely reasonable hardware would be put into it. But handheld NX should release this year.

The 3DS is still the best platform in the market right now regardless.

And yet they were initially offering the 3DS for the same price as the Vita, leading to tons of articles proclaiming Vita would win the handheld war.

Then Nintendo did the right thing Price cut $80 and win the handheld war before Vita even launched.

Yes we should!!!! Soo it can stop slaying the PSVITA this gen!

But seriously, I think we should know that the 3DS fan base knows how far the graphics on the 3DS can do. Sooooo our expectations on the visuals shouldn't be as high as what the Vita gets.

And if anything that the 3DS hardware and software sales showed is that = Gameplay > Graphics.

The Vita is like 10 times more powerfull than the 3DS, and has better screens.
If you feel the 3DS is to weak the other option is the Vita.

I have a 3DS, and dont really have a issue with its power btw.

It has some nice games and thats what matters.

Why are you complaining about the screen resolution. The 3DS came out in 2011. The iPhone 4 didn't even have a HD screen either, at the time. It be like complaining the PS1 doesn't do HD. Because you didn't buy one yet.
