So, Splatoon moved more consoles than DK Tropical Freeze

http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=213224&page=1#

These are the reasons why The King DK did not move hardware like Splatoon did-
*There are only ten videos talking about DKTF in the Nintendo YouTube channel AGAINST 49 SPLATOON videos
*People Hate, Metroid fanboys were expecting RETRO New game to be a realistic HD Metroid but RETRO chooses DK instead.
*Advertisment, I didn't watch any DK video on tv, but It was a different story with Splatoon, I saw Splatoon on cartoon network and disneyXD
*DK got Delayed To February, in that time people hate so much the System until smash extravaganza everything changed in peoples' minds.
*DK $50 VS SPLATOON €40 $60

At least Donkey kong was complete when It was released .

10 DK videos  VS 49 splatoon-

I saw quite a few ads for Tropical Freeze on Cartoon Network.

No, some of your reasons aren't very accurate as to why it didn't move units, but it most certainley symbolizes a lack of effort on Nintendo's part to push Tropical Freeze out there.

bet: lost

Nintendo really pushed Splatoon harder than any other game on the Wii U, that's for sure.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

I remember they had that large E3 section dedicated to Splatoon back in 2014, it was the last legit reveal on their E3 Direct and they made a point to emphasize it during the Nintendo treehouse event.  They knew it was going to do well but I don't think they thought it was going to turn into a phenomenon and I think the only other games I think that came close in-terms of advertising were Smash and Mario Kart.  Hell, I was surprised when I saw a Splatoon commercial while watching the Walking Dead.

Dk never moved consoles. always those second-party like games that are meant to sell for a quick buck. Nothing less, nothing more.

12/22/2016- Made a bet with Ganoncrotch that the first 6 months of 2017 will be worse than 2016. A poll will be made to determine the winner. Loser has to take a picture of them imitating their profile picture.

Or because its a fun multiplayer exclusive? Something that the Wii U is sorely lacking.

Those sound like excuses. The reason is simple: the demand wasn't there.

Tropical Freeze is a good game but I think it would be really fun to see a Donkey Kong 64 sequel, a 3D Donkey Kong game. DK64 is quite flawed and I feel as if Nintendo needs to do a 3D Donkey Kong justice

No excuses.

There was no Advertisment for DK at the time.

Another example is XCX.

I agree.

But the company Who knew how to deal with DK was (RAREWARE) and a DK3D like Dk64 will never happen because Nintendo cant do It.
