Sega has confirmed that Valkyria Chronicles Remastered is getting a western release sometime this spring.
The upgraded PlayStation 4 port of the PS3 tactical classic RPG will be available at both retail and digital, in both North America and Europe, and it will cost $29.99/CA$44.99. Featured above, you can view a new trailer for the remaster, via Sega.
If you pre-order the game in North America, you’ll get the limited edition Squad 7 Armored Case.

It’s worth mentioning that we naturally asked Sega if the game would come with theValkyria: Azure Revolution demo that’s included in the Japanese version, and if they were considering localizing the game as well. Sega’s PR rep gave us this response:
“No word yet.” So while this isn’t a confirmation, it’s not a no either. We’ll keep you guys posted in this regard.

In the world of Valkyria Chronicles, the year is 1935 E.C., and the continent of Europa has been plunged into the Second Europan War between the Autocratic East Europan Imperial Alliance — also known as The Empire — and the Atlantic Federation over the precious resource Ragnite. The Empire is sweeping through the continent like an unchecked wildfire and has its eyes set on the rich Ragnite deposits of the Principality of Gallia. Although peaceful Gallia remains neutral in the conflict, its citizens will need to defend home and country against the inevitable invasion. Players follow Lieutenant Welkin Gunther and the vaunted Squad 7 of the Gallian Militia as they take on the seemingly insurmountable forces of the Empire.
