Forums - Sony Discussion - Just gave The Order 1886 a second try

i received the platin trophy twice and i really enjoyed the game. stop playing the game on easy? just play it normal and its really fun and a good game, good story.

NEGATIVES : some problems with pacing (sometimes run to fast, and then moving very slow,  they should change the variety of quicktimes and not always X and Triangle.  Headset on the BACK!! Really bad idea, everyone has future weapons and has a headset, that was annoying. -to many human enemies, there should be more monsters like van helsing or a varity of monsters. -lack of multiplayer/koop - cutscenes sometimes to long - first chapters were boring, thats why they received so many bad reviews, because the xbox fan magacine did only play the first 10 minutes. BUT levels like LASHMI and so on, were beautiful and very nice. they should keep up the variety of level and monster from the beginning, i think gunplay is good, but they could make it even better, imagine harder to aim but when you hit an enemy, he goes down.

more mine levels and more levels with atmosphere like the level with the lamp in the hand. imagine a monster(vampire zombie or whatever) comes out and kills you easily, that would be epic.

i wish they could make a sequel, with galahad as a monster slayer, more like RE4, more like Gears of War more focusing on gameplay(killing monsters), searching all monster over the world, vampires, gargoyls whatever, that would be nice and imagine a koop game or a multiplayer with really hard aiming gunplay and when you miss a bullet you need 10 seconds to reload, future weapons were nice but not needed.

-POSITIVES

Graphic, Story, Gameplay some levels were amazing, Lakshmi Level in the mines, Boatlevel, Rainlevel,  Subwaylevel with the lamp in the hand.

WELL...

i really want to see a sequel, maybe with more monsters and less human enemys. maybe a shadow of the colossus 1886 the order style where galahad becomes a monster hunter and need to take down jack the ripper and every dr jeckly and mr hyde or whatever, he wants to save the world of every monster ( like THE LEAGUE of the extraordinary gentlemen or  Van Helsing)  focusing on gameplay, gunplay and multiplayer.  a harder game would be nice, but not to frustrating maybe.

But it's a system seller. RAD is the next Naughty Dog.

The fact that so many people actually believed this game would be something pisses me off to no end. It was clear from day one that it'd be all fluff and because Sony needed an early-year seller they overmarketed it hoping it'd fill the gap. Even Knack wasn't as bad with how many people hyped it up as a huge title.

Not to say it's a bad game. For $10 it's alright. Still very much a commercialized filler game people were simply told they wanted, but it's playable, although the mechanics are about as stiff as some of the acting. I'm ranting purely about the game's marketing and pre-launch hype.

If RAD was the next Naughty Dog they would never have made the gameplay choices they made with this game.

sorry I have to disagree...just liked it at the first try since it was too gorgeous in the graphics department. Only the gameplay had issues but the devs had clearly mentioned it would be more of story orientated type on single gameplay

cool story, tell us more.

Yes, no negativity, people only want to read praise for even the worst games out there!

Yet to play it myself, but it seems like an absolutely squandered opportunity with what looks to be a great videogame setting.

I have enjoyed it... played for like 15 hours to plat, 2 playthroughs... lend from a friend so I can't complain

I liked the game, a little short, but ok for me, i am old now (38) and i have to say i have more and more hard time to finish long game, so i am happy if story is good and game not this long for a adventure game.
