Alot of people have been giving Nintendo crap for their internal software output but it's actually on par with all their home consoles in the last 20 years, 2-3 titles in a typical year and 10-15 over the course of the systems life.

Which console do u personally think had the best games?

And that's not even counting Nintendo's other studios like Nintendo NPD, Retro, Monolith Soft, etc. or third party collaborations like Bayonetta 2 or Hyrule Warriors. Nice.

I pick N64 nostalgia reasons.

Only problem is N64 had awesome 2nd party games and GC had third party, and everyone wanted a piece of the Wii pie.

One interesting thing is that from late 1998 onward EAD only released 2 Zelda games, 2 Pokémon Stadium games and a small new IP, Animal Crossing. A total of 5 games in the final 3 years of its life.

Tagging, Nintendo is definitely making games at a good pace, but with the lack of 3rd party support, the limited amount of games can be felt :/

They may be making games but because they wouldn't get 3rd party support their output is lacking.

Next gen they going to need to either triple their output or bribe 3rd parties to make games on their systems

That's not what this thread is about, many people criticize Nintendo's internal software output and I'm simply showing their output has been pretty consistent for about 20 years if not longer.

Having lived through all those gens, yeah that's about right, but the N64 era was better because Rare basically doubled their 1st/2nd party output.

I think I gotta give it to Wii U. I almost gave it to N64, but I counted more I enjoy overall on the Wii U than the N64. Even nostalgia can beat this one.

Sorry to be that guy but uh Zelda WiiU isnt done by EAD, its EPD... yeah EAD and SPD merged back in September.
So yeah, better cross that one off of the list
Seriously though why are we just looking at EAD?? Nintendo was always more than just EAD, if all they had was EAD making games for them they wouldn't have lasted through the 5th generation.
