I don't think Tecmo was planning on porting the game due to being a tiny niche product, but announcing this as such isn't going to win them any fans; not from the parties they are trying to appease (they still make the product, it's just not available in more markets) and certainly not from that tiny niche of gamers who would have bought this game. It's not going to stop anyone from buying the game anyway, it just means having to pay more and go through the trouble of importing it making it a bit of a lose/lose situation for everyone. The business reality is that there simply wasn't enough demand to justify a port. So... anyone who wanted this should have complained louder then rather than now.

I don't feel like looking up the numbers, but what were they for DOAX and DOAX2? I don't recall DOAX2 being published on the PS3 and if not, there's not much of a gauge for interest in DOAX3 on the PS4.
I suppose there's always digital if KT was concerned about producing unsold NA market inventory, but again, what this really seems to boil down to is the number of units they projected they could sell relative to the fan response for a NA market release simply didn't merit one.
Okay; no need to bother. DOAX2 sold a whopping 250k units. That is the very definition of small niche.
