Forums - Nintendo Discussion - I'm waiting for Zelda: Skyward Sword HD because we deserve PROPER CONTROLS.

You realize Skyward Sword is the game it is because those motion controls are seemingly integrated into everything you need to do right? Can't just give it "proper controls" and call it a day, they would have to redesign basically everything. Enemies, bosses, items, puzzles, movement mechanics, you name it, it would be a whole other game.

Also, Twilight Princess already had your "proper controls". And, this is like the third thread about this very same thing already, which makes me doubt you are actually serious and not just taking a piss.

Yes OP is right. Motion controls (along with too much tutorials) killed the game for me.

Am I the only one who actually liked this game's motion control?

Certainly not.

In this thread alone, there are many others who liked them.

Honestly when I see people struggled with the controls in Skyward Sword, I can't help but think you must've just been doing it very wrong. I had exceptionally few control problems with this game. Did the odd slice go in the wrong direction? Of course, but as long as you're measured and not frantic, you'll almost certainly get the second one right.

I'm certainly glad Skyward Sword exists after the disappointment of Twilight Princess' motion controls. They'll probably not ever go down that path again but at least we got a game that lived up to the promise Nintendo gave in 2006, even if it was 5 years late.

Childish controls. really?

Sooooo. Muuuuch. Thiiiiisss. ^^^^

Speak for yourself, man.
The motion controls are the number 1 reason why that game holds such a special place in my heart!
Skyward Sword was the game that the Wii was built for! The motion controls in that game are about as close to perfect as you can possibly make a game with motion controls!

Besides, as others have established, if you were to remake the game in HD, you would have to leave the motion controls intact, because there is absolutely no way you can take them out without completely rebuilding the game from the ground up all over again, since just about every single thing you do in that game involves the motion controls in some way, shape, or form.

the whole game is built around motion controls... a lot of changes have to be made if they want to remake it without MC

sry for my bad english - it is not my 1st language

Yeah I'm pretty sure you couldn't remake SS w/o motion controls. The whole game focuses on hitting enemies/objects at precise angles with your sword. You can't really do that with a traditional control scheme...
