I think it will do quite well. They just need to advertise, advertise, advertise! I want to see this thing on the cover of my bus.

Very little. Over the PS4's lifetime I think VR could pull in a few million consumers who would have otherwised ignored it. In context of yearly sales, this will more or less be an invisible bump. Maybe a notable one for the holiday following its release.
It might not impact directly, but it will make the PS4 even more desirable to the consumer and i think that will show in the sales numbers after PSVR launches.
Proudest Platinums - BF: Bad Company, Killzone 2 , Battlefield 3 and GTA4
Little to nothing. I think VR is going to flop (based on gut feeling)
Really depends on the hype and the casuals. If for some reason VR succeeds and casuals realize that they have money to spend then it could add a few millions. But so far I don't think anyone could reliably predict the success of VR. Not even Pachter.

You know the type of casual who buys their kids these type or thing for Xmas? Well I do and he once bought his daughter an xbox with Kinect because he over heard her say that an add was cool. She didn't even want it and only used it that first Xmas. America and the UK have a lot of people who easily part with their money and this would be a cool Xmas gift.

People also seem to forget that the PS3 won out.
After doing some more research and listening to testimonials, I think that VR will be huge and I think it will sell a lot of PS4s. On the internet, and especially on chartz, people have been been tricked into being as pessimistic as possible about almost everything. And I love you guys, but that just who you are.

Wii is the one that sold the most, but thats beyond the point. The point is, for the ps3 to recover from the disastrous launch, it bleed alot of money.Sure, in the end was commercially succesful, but it was a financial disaster.(at least the first years). With it i mean that the ps3 had to lower the price alot, for people to start buying it.If the price is just too high on the PS4+PSVR combo, people wont buy it.
My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.
