I don't see how this appeals to casuals.  Its a large cost and nerdy.  It appeals more to the core.

You know the type of casual who buys their kids these type or thing for Xmas?  Well I do and he once bought his daughter an xbox with Kinect because he over heard her say that an add was cool.  She didn't even want it and only used it that first Xmas.  America and the UK have a lot of people who easily part with their money and this would be a cool Xmas gift.
