Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Xbox One BC Fanfare [BC Database] "10 new titles for January. Titles will release when available from now on" - "BC is region free" - "Free multiplayer for 360 games played on One"

How are you liking the initial 104 BC list?

Love it! 83 24.41%

It's good, could be better 77 22.65%

Just OK 52 15.29%

Meh... 60 17.65%

I hate Xbone 19 5.59%

Just being nosy 49 14.41%

Total:340

I tried playing Castle Crashers on XBO (which if free for anybody who bought it on 360 sooo....) but it had lost some of its luster. I wonder how many games in actually going to enjoy.

I wish it had Batman but I'm sure they will come eventually. In the meantime, is gonna be Gears and South Park occupying my time.

Looks like we should be expecting around 20 titles a month from now on. Here's a snippet from an interview with Mike Ybarra from Windows Central:

"Jez: So, how far are you guys planning to push backwards compatibility? We're getting around 100 titles next week, do you have any idea of how often those titles are going to come in? Could we eventually see the entire Xbox 360 library on Xbox One?

Mike: We certainly want to have a regular cadence that we give updates for Xbox 360 titles. Our biggest obstacle there is working with publishers and getting their approval for the older titles. We continue to work on that right now, I would say, it varies in response across the publishers. Some are like "yep, let's go, rock n' roll" and others are a little bit more thoughtful about how they want to think about that. It's hard for us to promise, I'll just make something up, 20 titles a month from now on, because it really depends on the publisher enabling us to release those titles. Certainly we want to release a set of titles on a regular basis that customers are asking for, that can provide value to them."

Xbone... the new "N" word   Apparently I troll MS now | Evidence | Evidence

Can the games be purchased on the store?

normally I would say BC is overrated. BUT with no good rally games so far this gen I am very happy to see I can at least go back to Dirt while I await something better

Why is it overrated? Because it's being talked one too many times other people would like to hear?

Imagine playing Iron Brigade (MS/Double Fine) now, with populated servers. I love this Arcade game but it's online mp and a lot of people have moved on due to new gen.

I used to think BC was very important, but the reality I have found is most people simply don't go back to play old games unless there is a glaring absense in current games. I know that doesn't apply to everyone, but certainly applies to everyone I know, myself included. This gen there are some large game genre holes that can actually be nicely covered in the short term with good BC.

If they bring all X360 exclusives that I missed out on by owning PS3 and Wii, I will surely buy the Xbone at one point. BC makes it worth buying even if you're a PS gamer. But I need all AAA exclusives.

Wii U is a GCN 2 - I called it months before the release!

My Vita to-buy list: The Walking Dead, Persona 4 Golden, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, TearAway, Ys: Memories of Celceta, Muramasa: The Demon Blade, History: Legends of War, FIFA 13, Final Fantasy HD X, X-2, Worms Revolution Extreme, The Amazing Spiderman, Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate - too many no-gaemz :/

My consoles: PS2 Slim, PS3 Slim 320 GB, PSV 32 GB, Wii, DSi.

It's about to get database up in here.

The demand for BC games on xbox uservoice forum is nothing to be ignored or underestimated. BlopsII has 110,000 votes, RDR about the same.

Games this gen have mostly been about graphics and less about gameplay progression. The above mentioned games are still one of the best in their genres and newer games have yet to top them in terms of gameplay.
