Forums - Nintendo Discussion - First WiiU emulator available!

By the time this becomes usable for pirating wii u games the Wii U will be long gone so we aren't seeing a repeat of the wii emulator issue. And wii emulation was probably a minor issue for Nintendo next to the insane number of hacked wiis.

Well, is gonna take years and a Nasa computer until it runs fine, and even there the wiiu gamepad is not posible to use unless you put some kind of akward split screen and using the mouse instead of your hand to touch it.

Sure, because the Xbone is a NASA computer which is able to emulate the 360.

Thats because MS is singlehandley wasting the time and money in modefying and reprogramming each 360 game to run on the Xbox One. They have the insight as the Xbox 360 manufacture/devoloper too.

Well you maybe playing Bayonetta 2 10 years from now lol Enjoy the wait ;)

Yeah, because in 10 years Bayonetta 2 is a worse game than it is now, right? Lol.

Bayonetta 2 has slight frame rate drops now, hows it gonna run smooth on this thing in 10 years lol

I can't believe I have to read this nonsense. No, they are not modifying or reprogramming any 360 game. Of course it helps to know the system, yes.

I dont like emulation, it runs poor and buggy. Ever since 32 bit consoles they wont run perfect no matter what, emulation is only good for 2D consoles and hardware. The only good 3D emulator i have ever seen is the emulkator from the PS3 for PS1 games. I only would trust an emulator made by Sony themselfs, they know the ins and outs of their consoles.

So why cant i just put any 360 disc? why has the game to be redownloaded or it downloads some extra data? why isnt every xbox 360 game BCompatible? youre saying the nonsense here

This post is so full of general talk and also contradicts itself. What is there to trust? Epsxe runs great for the most games, for example. I finished several games on it.

But whatever, different people, different experiences, different opinions.

The answer is in this thread.

Hint: Mass Effect is playable on Xbone as of right now. Do you really think that EA gave MS the whole toolset and the source code to make this possible? Really?

MS already said it is an emulator. The reason for it to be downloaded is that not a single game (this also applies to PS4) runs off disc. MS packages the whole game with updates into a binary which Xbone understands. It runs as an Xbone game on Xbone hardware. Again, there is no playing off discs at all this gen. Everything gets installed first.

If it's a fully functional emulator, that brings up a question: will Microsoft ever bring that emulator to Windows 10 and start selling 360 games through there?

You know it deserves the GOTY.
