Forums - Nintendo Discussion - If the NX released both the handheld and home consoles at the same time...

NX or NXDS?

...Which one would you get first? Like, if they really played all the same games, from massive open world Zelda's to small conservative Boxboy's, and the only major differenciating factor was form, which one would you get. Or if you're like me and plan to eventually get both, which would you get first?

For me, I'd get the handheld first. As awesome as good looking games are, I'd rather be able to take my games with me. There are very few games that I haven't wished I could play on the go and there are absolutely no games I think are better in a console form-factor. MGSV being a recent example. Kept wishing I could have played it on my 3DS like I did with Snake Eater so I could play at work. As another example, if I really had to choose, I'd probably rather play Zelda U on the handheld, as I'd be able to play it on my way to work and on breaks.

What about you?

The Home console if it can run also the Pokémon games, Both otherwise

Would price of hardware be the same as well?

When the herd loses its way, the shepard must kill the bull that leads them astray.

if the pricing is better with both, i'll go for both. else home console first. :)

I'll just get the home console, I prefer playing on the big screen.

If it comes a handheld+home console bundle, I'll get that (as long as I get to save money). But if It doesn't come, the handheld part is for me.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

Mainly depends on what my friends get.

If more get the console, I'll get the console, and vice versa.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

Doubt it. Console would be more expensive.

Why would that matter? All the games would likely be cross play.

To everyone talking about a bundle, I never considered that. I'd get that if it were cheaper.
