Title says it all really. The reviews themselves explain it well:

The game probably is great, but all these perfect reviews just makes me wonder how much the price/"indieness" influence on the score.

If a AA 40$ game was to release with these graphics it would be called a turd, not a GOTG.

Eh... nothing against Undertale, which I've never played or heard of, but a 97 based on 9 reviews means a hell of a lot less than a 96 based on 81.

Then the rest of the sites need to review it.

Half-Life 1 is on there with 24 reviews.

The art serves the goals of the game perfectly; things are clear enough to let the player know what they need to do and to become immersed/emotionally invested. That's more than I can say for a number of $40 games I'm thinking of, which have better shaders but worse clarity and direction.

This is easily the best RPG I've played in years. It made me laugh out loud a few times, something games rarely do, and it has some really crazy twists later on. I'd definitely recommend playing this.

Whatever. Deus Ex will always be the best

If that spreads around too much, people will start hating the game and rating it low to be contrarian.

This.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."
