Wow. But this takes into account gamers that are into gaming so much that they visit a website and participate in a poll. Taking into account all people that own PCs and consoles, the numbers would be a lot different.

Is this for cod or for games in general. There is a huge difference. I won't give up skyrim, legend of Zelda, or mario Galaxy to only play cod multiplayer, but I would give up the cod campaign for the multiplayer and zombies.

How many times have you heard or seen people play or talk about the cod campaign? Compare that to the amount of people how play and talk about the multiplayer/zombies, and you will see that most people don't care about cod's campaign.

also, respawn, creator of Titanfall and made up of ex Infinity Ward members (modern warfare series), didn't include a campaign mode in Titanfall. Their reasoning? They didn't think players appreciated it enough to put into the game compared to multiplayer

Because it includes multiplayer? You know, facing people and not zombies

It is a self selecting poll, so it is not perfect.  What it does have going for it is that it is from one of the most popular gaming webites there is, and it has a pretty high sample.  It is probably the best estimate we are going to get.

Kind of confused with how this is even relevant?  Are we trying to suggest that the majority of people who buy Call of Duty are doing so based on it's single player merits, because that's really not the case.

What relevance does this poll have for the average person who buys a Call of Duty game each year?

That's a horrible excuse. Nothing needs to be delayed, they would have known about the situation years in advance.
CoD is still profitable on last generation, might as well do a service for long time fans, it's not like Activision wouldn't profit from it.

meh, to me it's just something for people to complain about.......I rarely touch the campaign on cod games and most of my friends list says the same thing.........I guess this is at least a start in the tradition though.

the install base is still too large to boycott the last gen all together. Activision isn't in the business of throwing away money.

Isn't porting the main parts of the game a service to longtime fans by itself? There are so many next gen only games, it's kind of refreshing to see an option for last gen players, I don't know why people are so angry about it. Suddenly we are entitled to a full game being ported because activision has money? No one complained when gta V didn't go to wii u even though rockstar got tons of money

People hate Activision because of cod...........most hated franchise in history. They can never do anything right to a lot of people.
