Forums - Nintendo Discussion - New Nintendo Patent For Portable NX (?)

http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1114538

Looks like it has image sensors for Amiibo/card/bar code (?) scanning, a pulse detector for ... uh detecting your pulse, and can be positioned vertically for backwards compatibility perhaps. There was also a previous patent that come out that I think was missed here about haptic feedback from the LCD screen.

What's with the mouse? Do you get a free pet mouse with the console?

Super Mouse Bros. Amiibo.

Great, another amiibo I have to buy.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

I would not really be surprised if the NX, at least the portable one comes pre-packed with an Amiibo hub game for free as its Nintendo Land/Wii Sports type pack-in and a free pack-in Amiibo too. Could be a different Amiibo figure for a different NX hardware color.

I'm so freaking tired of the endless speculation. Just show us the freaking NX already.

So you can turn it like tablet?

Ah, now THIS looks like a future handheld or mobile device. My guess is NX portable will be very tablet-like.

Actually, just read the greater patent details in the link. This is crazy the 4-way scan zone thing is potentially a game changer. You should have that in the OP. This also makes me think the new handeld and console will be distinct from each other, though thos technologies could be combined in a final design.

I guess it could be used in an Amiibo game where a group of say kids put the Nintendo "tablet" on a table say, and put their Amiibo toys around it?

Maybe you can move the Amiibos around the system or something like a virtual board game?

Perhaps they're just throwing a hodge podge of ideas into the device

Or maybe ... holograms? lol.
