If you read the whole sentence, you'd know that he was saying Wii U sells way more than Vita during the holidays.

What does this have to do with the Wii U profiting more?

Back in the day, the Ps3 could sell 200.000 consoles while the X360 could sell 50.000, and Microsoft would profit more.

We are talking about raw sales.

WiiU will most certainly catch it.
Vita only is ahead now because it launched a year earlier. Vita's closer to extinction at western retail than the WiiU. WiiU has better holiday sales and real powerful HW pushing SW coming yet, Vita doesn't. While NX may halt WiiU, it's handheld form (which will launch first) will also destroy what's left of the Vita

I predict NX launches in 2017 - not 2016

It will happen one day. I bet my life on it. Nintendo supports the Wii U and Sony doesn't support the Vita. Eventually the the support will outweigh the Japanese and indie games. Too bad there is no real Animal Crossing game.

It really depends on how long they are supported I guess. I mean Wii U could take the lead eventually, but Vita might take the lead back.

Nintendo wants to release another home console eventually. While Vita may keep selling because Sony doesn't want to launch a new handheld console.

nobody has even mentioned that we don't even know the real sales of the vita. I wouldn't trust the vgchartz estimates.
