Forums - PC Discussion - PC Industry Still Growing and Faster Than Consoles

I'd love to see revenues from both when you exclude F2P titles and indies.

Well yahh pc market spends more on hardware, you payed 2k for hardware to play a inferior version of a game i play on a $300 console. Makes no sense to me but to each their own.

Where do the game sale most ? says enough to me.

Exactly how to you figure that out?,a 500$ PC got today would easy outperfom the PS4 when it comes to 3rd party games and does (Unless you think cos batman = all games?? if so thats just silly). Also i have never ever spend 2k on my pc but i love how thats always the defence stance with console only gamers. It costs like 2k to outperfom my 300 console, You cant plug your pc into your tv (Even when thats what im using mine on now) you cant use joypads etc etc. So many mis facts and lies gets spread by console only gamers against pc its not even funny just sad...

Dude, the whole PC master race bullshit is sad.

My youtube gaming page.

Well yeah, pretty much everybody owns a pc don't they? I still prefer my console gaming.

That's just hardware sales though.I know people with 950tis, 960s and 970s but they used them as a poor man's workstation.Still though PC gaming is at the strongest its ever been, but I doubt that there's more people buying hardware for gaming specifically than consoles.

Really? Well i hope you think the same about the MS Sony Defence forces and whatever nintendo has lol.

Anyway no one put you brought the PC master race into this thread..

So the giant picture at the top of the OP doesn't allude to the "master race" concept?

And what good is that when the game is build and optimiesed for console, expensive pc hardware is an after thought.

No defense from me, but you clealry are taking this overly personal and are apperantly hurt by something i said.  To put it more plainly for you I just just said NO SHIt PC hardware sales is bigger given PCs can cost 2k while console go for 3 bills give or take.  Cool get it?

joyads lol some one is getting super defensive lol.

Hope this means developers will put PC games first and then scale back down for consoles instead of the other way around. I really want some software to really push graphical boundaries again on a consistant basis like back in the days of 2006 to 2007 with DX10 and Nvidia 8800 series gpus... I actually miss having to wonder if my PC would be able to play games on max settings.

I mostly play RTS and Moba style games now adays as well as ALOT of benchmarking. I do play other games however such as the witcher 3 and Crysis 3, and recently Ashes of the Singularity. I love gaming on the cutting edge and refuse to accept any compromises. Proud member of the Glorious PC Gaming Master Race. Long Live SHIO!!!!

I really doubt that since AAA developers makes the most money on consoles.

Indeed. The PC growth is largely due to 2 things, F2P games (especialyl MOBAs) and China. Although those 2 things are actually related

Dont know about that. But if that was only the case then why is full priced games selling so well on steam? just look at GTA5 even after being released at such a late time sold better in the same time frame as the x1 and PS4 versions. MGS5 is selling really well too.

Also it took The Last of Us, a major AAA PS3 exclusive title 15 months to sell 6 million, Diablo 3 sold that in its first week of release. So clearly PC can shift Software other then F2P titles as many would like to believe.

Over 7 million in in 12 months: http://ca.ign.com/articles/2014/07/16/the-last-of-us-sales-pass-7-million-with-new-dlc-coming
