Forums - General Discussion - Do you attend church weekly? Yearly?

I go to Church every weekend, I play in the band there, my band mates inside church are my band mates outside of church as well (marching band/Metal rock) I believe in God 100% just not the people that say they believe in him I try to help but if you say one thing then act another too many times I'll just tell you to F off and give you a real piece of my mind but that goes for Christians and Non-Christians alike. Most of my Non-Christian friends became that way due to seeing the Christians that act stupid and treat people badly.

I go whenever a loved one wants me to go badly. Other than that i could careless about going to church.

@Valknut: Sorry that you keep having bad experiences at church. The guy with the candle... he was an idiot. Don't worry about him. God doesn't worry about candles at baptisms. God also doesn't care too much if there is tons of incense burning in the church these days. All I can say is find a church that you don't mind attending and go from there.

Also I call Lifechurch.tv "my church" because I feel connected to it. Not in some "OMG! WE DRANK KOOL-AID TOGETHER" type of connection. It is a much deeper thing that I can't easily explain. Tough to put this type of thing into words. I am hardly in charge of the daily running of my church. I do volunteer after the last service though, I help tear down the equipment.

We are currently meeting in a school gym on the weekends, so we have to setup the equipment beforehand and then tear it down afterwards. However, do not think that the church is just a building. That is simply where we meet. Each person is a part of the church, and that is what I am referring to mostly.

Also it is our belief that God is (or rather should be) the most important thing to us. After all, He gave us our life, and so we thank him for that. I am starting to sound preachy I think... I believe that God listens to me and will answer my prayers. They are not always the answers I am looking for however, but God works all things to the good of those who believe in Him. I could ask him for a million dollars, but God rarely operates in such a way as to plop that money down in my lap. He will usually take the route of opening doors that will take me down a path to be able to earn that money in some way, though not all of us are meant to have a million dollars.

Again I am sounding preachy... sorry... Don't let my ranting and raving get in your way of looking into the message God is trying to tell you. I am but a very poor servant of His... But I know that He loves me and looks out for me anyways.

Oh I shouldnt have implied something like a million dollars or the such, I was focusing more on the " Give me strength" for such and such event. The material part was ment to be smaller then money I guess, an example escapes me atm.

You by no means sound preachy, its hard to talk about God in a bad way, espeacialy when you believe as you said that he gave you birth. Its not like I could go and say bad things about my parents eh :).

The way " your" Church operates is indeed couragous, I see little or no people these days going out of there way to do such things as you do these very days. You have my respect, and should have many others!

Edit : Spacing Spelling Stupidity :P

I'm an athiest. I regard God as a product of man rather than the other way around.

No disrespect intended, this is just my own personal view.

I try. Being a pk allows you to see the good and bad in church. I'm pretty sure if I was any less affiliated then all my experiences would have put me off the idea of regularly attending and possibly believing.
