Resistance IP is owned by Sony i believe. They couldnt remaster it even if they wanted to!

According to VgChartz:
- Resistance 1: 4.3
- Resistance 2: 2.45
- Resistance 3: 1.46
The franchise went down considerably...the first one was released at launch, so the numbers may be better because of that, but i agree...i doubt Sony would invest in a sequel looking at these numbers.
The ONLY way that i could see it possible is that they somehow made the Trilogy Remaster and sell incredibly well, then they would consider it. But as of right now, it is almost impossible.
It depends of how much it cost remastering a game, i really dont know.
If games like Darksiders and Sleeping Dogs are being remastered, i dont see anything wrong doing the same with Resistance!!!

First game would really benefit from a remaster! I'd definitely be down for that.
Such a shame the mediocrity of the 2ndgame killed the franchise.

I really enjoyed the 1st game. The 2nd one was decent. The online coop saved the 2nd one for me. I might have to look into this since I'm definitely interested in playing an upgraded R:FoM and trying out the 3rd game since I never played that one.

@ the bolded. He/she was referring to Insomniac making a game for Nintendo. Seeing as they have made plenty for Sony exlcusively and 1 for Microsoft exclusively.

It didn't help things that Sony put no effort into backing Resistance after the first game's launch. They just put them out and that was it. No marketing, no push, nothing. R3 is considered one of the best FPS games of the last gen at the very least, and Sony didn't even try to market it. I don't blame Insomniac for finally breaking the second party trend they had after that, since their whole business rides on good reviews and sales and Sony wasn't giving them the support they needed to sell. That's the same reason we haven't had a full-size Ratchet in years, because Sony really shafted Insomniac with poor marketing in the seventh gen. Thankfully that doesn't seem to be the case anymore with Ratchet PS4 taking a prime spot next year (or so it seems, Sony still has time to screw it up and damn Ratchet to the mid-tier forever).

TBH I think Sunset Overdirve might have done better on Wii U than on Xb one.
New games only from Insomniac please...the 2016 remake of the original game notwithstanding.
