I didn't like what i played of it.

Why because its hard?

I liked the first few hours of it but it got repetitive and it was hard but not so hard that it wasnt playable. I didnt finish the game but if were to rate what i played i would give it a 8/10.

Tomb Raider is timed...for a year. Not much to downplay there. Those two games alone in Halo and Tomb Raider blow away anything Sony is dropping in fourth quarter in exclusivepopularity.

For you. for me Persona 5 alone beats thouse 2 together, for me Bloodbourne alone beats both plus forza and gears. for me Zelda alone beats the entire playstation and xbox library combined. So that statement means nothing, just that you like halo and tomb raider(not even, you dont even seem to want  it, just that others might want it, but it dosent occur to you that others feel the same for the other games that might be on diferent platfrms.).

The problem with equating individual opinion to popularity is that it doesn't actually work.  I prefer AFI to Linkin Park.  That doesn't mean that AFI is more popular than Linkin Park.  Halo and Tomb Raider are in fact more popular than the majority of what Sony is putting out this holiday season.  There is evidence to support that as fact.  Especially if we are looking at the US, the only large market where MS can still conceivably make up ground and potentially turn things around.

It's gotta be a 10/10 to be worth it apparently.

It has indeed, but it's questionable how much its actually going to matter in the long run, it has quite a gap to bridge just to pull even on monthly sales and while the forth quarter offerings are indeed excellent, i believe wholeheartedly that we'll enter 2016 with the xbox still at least 10m behind overall, probably more.

Its performance through 2016 where all of the major PS4 releases have been pushed to is an issue too since any ground they do pull back this holiday will likely be lost and then some next year.

Microsoft doesn't need to bridge the gap right now. They only need to make America their primary domain and gain more territory around Europe. Microsoft took the latter half of fouth quarter last year in the states. They should do better than that this year since Halo and Tomb Raider are coming. Thats a bigger lineup than last year. This year MS should get at least three of four months. The must have game that Microsoft needs to boost their console sales by a some million is finally coming next month. The first Halo tends to do very well in each generation.

Sony has no exclusives to take on those two games this holiday season. A statement will be made this holiday season, even though they wont win the year. Microsoft is still $50 cheaper so their black friday will be just as dominant as last year. Microsoft tends to beat Sony at the fourt quarter. Sony plays the year while Microsoft tends to play fourth quarter when the bulk of shoppers are ready to spend their money.

Read previous response.

If they focus on America, japannese devs will keep ignoring the x1. Even if they are  niche as some claime, thouse small numbers add up. Just look at the sales diference in jappan. Not only are japaneese devs going to ignore it, but some european devs will as well if they dont performe as well on the country the game is being made in. Like fifa, its a game that performs the best everywhere except the US, where the majority of X1's are. Sure EA will never skip an X1 release,, but releasing on it is just because. Thats not going to last forever, the first ones to start ditching the x1 will be the smaller dev teams who are not making shooters. then it will domino untill soe big titles skip the x1.

Last year sony did not need to drop the price twice like the MS and still outsold worldwide the x1, it even outsold the x1 for the year in the US, so I would not put so much stockk on the holliday. Considering this time sony will actually put some effort on it. And they been sitting on that pricecut that is bound to come this year as well. And unlike some think, all the exclusives released so far dont just desapear, they will sell more on the hollidays. So I still think sony has the better holliday potential.

They have all the big japanese game like FF15 and KH3. Also its pointless to focus on japan because if the x1 did well in japan it would only sell a max of about 5m. But microsoft is still kinda showing support for those who bought the x1 in Japan which is good for those fans. Phill Spencer said they will focus more on Europe. And i cant see X1 selling less that 15 million this gen in Europe which isnt that bad.

Sure I get that. But keep in mind that is not just popularity that counts. You might think that "Oh, none of thouse games sell even half of what halo sells", this is true, neither persone, dragonquesst, untill dawn, the order and any of the other games released this year will come close. But now look at the diferent and numerous games. Thouse games will probably have diferent fans, so while one gamer buys a ps4 for bloodbourne, another buys it for untill dawn, another for persona, another for mlb, another for the order. While each will sell only small amount of ps4's to each group, thoue small numbers add up and eventually over take the big number of X1's that halo manages to sell. Sales history dosent fully proove this, but it points in that direction. While some games share the same fans, its always better to have many little and difernt titles, to just one big title.

I would say overall the sales history is proving it this gen.  Thusfar MS has been content to focus on the time that "really matters" (Phil Spencer's words) and enjoy their Q4 victories in the US.  However, the rest of the year - and for that matter the rest of the planet - still counts towards overall sales and that is where Sony's philosophy of spreading things out continues to keep them in the driver seat.

I think, based solely on lineup, MS is gonna win the US in Q4 again.  Doesn't mean they get a worldwide win, or even that the close the gap completely in the US as it stands now.

Do they also have SFV and final fantasy XIV? Or are thouse not big enoughf for the X1? I knw you think persona and dragon quest not big enoughf.

Thats just having a very narrow view of the future. 5 million in japan is better than in america, cuz I think its been prooven that the jap's buy a lot more games and thats where the true profits of gaming consoles come from.

Droping the price is the only thing they done to appeal to anybody outside the core xbox fanbase. They have yet to release any game outside their whealhouse, the couple that are coming that might be diferent dont come untill next year. So all they have done is talk a lot and prooven nothing. The sales gap just keeps increasing all over the world, incluiding in america.
