The fact that you can't link levels together to make an official Mario game killed a sale for me and I've been playing Mario since the first one launched. I just can't imagine playing in isolated levels long enough to justify that price.

10 Mario and & 100 Mario mode...

Pretty irrelevant complaint anyway.

That is NOT the same thing. I want to make level 1-1, jump on a pole and then warp to 1-2 with the same lives, score etc... until I get to 1-4, which would be a castle and a mini boss. Rinse and repeat until I'm in level 8-4 and fighting bowser to save the princess.

That's the only reason I lost my shit when this game was first announced. Finally, I could make a Super Mario game! But, if it's just isolated levels, it's not nearly as exicting for me.

Maybe that's cool for the majority of people? Not for me though.

I think you dont know that in the 100 Mario challenge (and the 10 mario challenge) looks like this:

(this is the 10 Mario challenge, depending on the difficulty it has more or less levels per world)

And you have to complete several consecutive stages that are randomly selected depending on the difficulty in order to unlock one of the 100 mario costumes, so it feels like a single player campaign not isolated levels.

This is not what I want though. I don't want random levels strung together. I was to create the ENTIRE eight worlds and sub levels. I want to create them and put them in the order I want. I want to make 1-1, 1-2, 1-3, 1-4... fight mini boss, move on to 2-1 etc. until I beat the game in world 8.

on metacritic there are two 70 scores for the mixed section. What I find funny is both give the game a 70 score and take points off because its a level creator game where people have to make their own content to find ''entertainment'' in the game. The game is called Super Mario Maker.

That would be like taking points off from Little Big Planet because in order to have fun after the games storyline, you had to create your own levels or taking points off assassins creed because in order to advance you had to assassinate someone lol

Well you can, you just can´t upload an entire Mario game with 50 levels for obvious reasons, but you can make it locally and give it to your friends to play it, you can make a Mario game with a ton of worlds and 120 levels.

An 88 for a 2D platformer is a 9000/100 for an open world game.

"Despite some lacking features when it comes to looking for other people's creations, making levels has never been so fun."

Gives it a 7.8 -,-"

That sounds a lot like what happened with Splatoon: "The most original and enjoyable online shooter of the generation" score? 7/10

And btw, that was Metro Game Central, the same people that gives Mario Maker a 7 saying that is "one of the few successful attempts to ensure creating your own games is as much fun as playing them." Ehh.... OK, maybe for them a 7 is like a 9 for most publications, the problem is that on Meta you are only hurting the game because a 7 there is a mixed score that usually only mediocre games get, but that´s how it works.

So I can make an entire Mario games where score and lives carry through the game? Can you provid some sort of link where that is confirmed? I've been looking for that infor since it was announced, and STILL can't find anywhere that says you can make a entire Mario game. It's not in any reviews, and previews...

I´m not sure if it works like that but when I get the game I will tell you.
