Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Xbox One Exec: We Are Bullish About The Exclusive Lineup This Year, Can’t Get Any Better Than This

I'd say 2016 looks way better than 2015.

This^^

Quantum Break, Crackdown, Scalebound, Gears of War 4, Recore, possibly other unannounced games from MS next year. This is just one persons opinion(hell I never even heard about this Anshu Mor executive) and some people are taking this guys word too seriously.

I would also agree that their line up next year is much more interesting, just from a range of genres/styles and less games that have been done before.

It's a marketing thing, the more times you repeat something the more likely people are going to say "Best games lineup in Xbo history"... but it's just going to be weird when next year is in fact a better line up... pr will have touble "Better line up than last years best ever lineup in XBO history".

Making an indie game : Dead of Day!

How can anyone think xbox's exlcusive lineup is good? Up until mid-year, there was 0 retail exclusives.

There first is rare replay. A great and fair-priced collection, but not a new game nevertheless.
GOW1 - A remaster. Most xbox people have played it.
Forza - Has a very small market and doesn't attract many outside the core fanbase. Another in a long franchise.
Halo and TR. Two games which will be great, but if anyone's boasting this years exclusives, these 2 are the only ones that are ammunition to the exclsuive war. But the problem is, where are the new IP's.

We went through a whole generation playing fable, gears, forza, tr and halo. At least 1 new IP in a year where sony has had three new ip's retail exclusives wouldve been good.

To be fair, in the first quote he says that there is no better console lineup this very year, in comparison to Sony and Nintendo. That's the context. He's not saying that it can't be better next year.

Read, people.

I would agree. And next year they can say it can't get any better than 2016.

Apparently a lot of people here don't understand PR, which is weird what with them being MicroSony enthusiasts and all.

I hope for them and their fan's sakes that's not true

Just more Microsoft hate, move along. You guys take everything so literal, its astounding. He thinks the line up is great, you guys don't, why bother posting? Oh of course, to take cheap shots at MS to avoid being banned.

Their lineup next year is just as good imo. Idk how some of you guys posting expect 5 AAA exclusives every 4 months in a year. Some of the posts in this thread are just sad.

1 AAA exclusive every 4 months rather than 3 right at the end of the year is what most people would prefer.  It shows in sales as Xbox does well during the holidays but gets blown out the rest of the year.  They are rectifying things next year with a couple early on but we shall see if they continue like that all gen.

They have three big exclusives this year, if you are kind and include Tomb Raider. If that is the best they can muster after a decade and a half of building first party studios and developing third party relations, that is worrying. Thankfully next year looks better.

Also not seeing the diversity that he claims, it really is something MS struggle with. If you aren't really like into Forza games and shooters there isn't much else. Agaon next year looks better, with games like Sea of Thieves and Scalebound, but even so looks shooter heavy with QB, Crackdown ans Gears.

His view that Xbox will catch up to PS4 because of their lineup is obviously not worth bothering with.

Well I never knew a commonly used hyperbole "can't get any better than this" is frown upon so much 😏 everyone should know it's not ment to be taken literally lol.

It sure is a strong lineup! I'll probs buy only RotTR and play gears and fallout for the rest of the year. 2016 is going to be much better!

He's right, when you compare retail exclusives this year Xbox has the biggest. I remember people hoping Halo 5 would get delayed to 2016 with Zelda and Uncharted.
