Call of Duty games are more or less remasters of the previous title(s), for what little they bring to the industry besides their obvious and ridiculous revenue.

Doesn't surprise me. I expect them to continue the trend as I'm sure a few thousand people will blow 50 bucks on the game xD

I've never played this so,I might get this.

But they don't remaster the one fucking game I want. Call of Duty 4. If they re-mastered it on the PS4/One with modern graphics, but no significant changes to the gameplay I'd play the fuck out of it all over again like I did back in '07.

I don't mind this even if I am surprised by it. My main issue is why on Earth would they price it at $50 when the last gen version is widely available for $15-20 range now. This is a port so not even like getting a frame rate or resolution bump to try and rationalize it.

Who on Earth asked for this? What is the market?

All I can think is that porting costs are so low that they need absolutely tiny sales numbers to break even, any other reason doesn't make sense. Hopefully it'll end up on PS+ as a freeby and I can play it for free, definitely wouldn't pay anywhere near $50 for it, maybe $20 tops if I happen to be in a drought (very unlikely anytime soon).

Porting costs aren't lol it's basically remaking the game.
