Yep, there were several threads of IOI saying generically how he do the charts... the process is good, the precision for weekly numbers is obviously quite off, but with the continuous corrections the totals are quite close to reality.

Because people are never just asking for sales. They create a ton of threads and bog down discussion with questions we all know the answer to. That and people treat VGC like a product or service they're entitled to rather than the free website it is.

The problem with these threads is that they don't really solve anything except make people upset. ioi updates when he updates. All this really does is spam the popular thread topics with these ones

I don't mind. The sales numbers at this time of the year aren't even interesting and there haven't been any big game releases. Weekly, the PS4 is probably doing 100k+, X1 at 70-80k, and the Wii U at 40k.

But it IS a product and service that IOI offers. This isn't a charity website or some kind of voluntary work. This is a product that people use to get sales estimates. 

So for you, gamers aren't entitled to free to play games simply because they are free? Are people not entitled to free services like gmail or youtube simply because they're free? When google messed up with google plus, people weren't entitled to complain about those terrible changes within Youtube simply because the service was free to begin with?

As far as I know, Ioi makes money from ad revenue and his partners. This website is advertised as a videogame sales website and those sales are currently not being provided. 

People are entitled to complain about a service that is not being provided to them as advertised, free or not.

As it seems we're keeping this open, the numbers will come when they come. Shouting and complaining and making threads helps noone because we all know. It just fatigues the community over time having to go through these threads every other day, moreso than the lack of numbers themselves.
