For those that are wishing there wasn't a 3ds version, get a life. Did any of you actually believe that square Enix was going to ignore nearly 20 mil 3ds owners in japan? For 3 million ps4 owners (in Japan by 2016)? If anything, the 3ds version was always the smart choice, with them throwing the ps4 version in. Throw the fan boy rhetoric out the door, the 3ds version was the only logical version, from a business standpoint... and that's what matters.

I love the combination 3d with the old school 2d, that's awesome. Now, if only it will come to america. I won't hold my breath.

For the 3DS? Awesome, really hope it gets localized then..

on the previous thread, it was mentioned DQ XI would be for home consoles, but SE still have a 3DS version. We all know that 3DS is a big install base already in Japan, so it is pretty much guaranteed to have a 3DS version.

I really think Japan would have DQ X maybe next year or so. Then DQ XI for 3DS holiday 2016. Then DQ XI for PS4 on 2017. Those are just Japan release dates, and the west would still wait a bit longer.

But the bigger question is now will they get localized?

Both version looks different so I'm not worried about the ps4 version being gimped. The games keeps piling up for ps4, next year should be the best year.

Great news! This kind of RPGs were really missing last generation.
Now they just have to show us the battle system of the PS4 version. I think, and hope, it will be the most classic RPG system possible.

I say the NX version is confirmed but Hoiri yet again said something he was not supposed to say and anounced a game before the console is officially revealed and Square Enix is trying to PR
