Gears of War is more popular and hyped than God of War.

I can never understand why people buy Lego games when they're new. After a couple of months, it will cost a third or fourth of the original price.

But... I bought it day 1

You bought it for the chievos, just admit it.

God of war flop

I wonder why they don't publish numbers if the game is that successful? Other games do so. Is there anything ingame where you can check?

They publish numbers like any other MMO/Online game... that is how you measure the success of a game like Destiny.

20m registered users being 4 million in the last three months (Feb to Apr) is mostruosos to a new online IP.

About God Of War.

UK debut.

God of War II ~ 25,000
God of War III ~ 65,000 - 70,000
God of War: Ascension ~ 30,000 - 35,000

I think you guys are having over-expectations for a remaster in UK.

I imagined something like this: http://bf4stats.com/

And no, this is not how to measure success. Registered users can mean anything. The question is how many are still playing. This is how you want to make look your game as a success. If it would be such a success I wonder why companies don't give all numbers to the public.

16 Xbox
19 PS (I think)
4 Nintendo
1 PC

Handhelds really have died here in the UK.

17 PS4 games alone.

hmm, GOW 3 remastered didn't do too well in the UK.

There's a very good reason for that, it's all about the demographics and how this is the wrong game to remaster. PS3 gamers who have PS4 either already played it or were never interested in playing it, and 360 gamers who've converted to PS4 will largely be uninterested in H'n'S as a genre. This is a game that appeals to the Sony core as a two generations old franchise, and if you want the series fans to re-buy this game there will need to be extra goodies as an incentive, just like what is being done with Gears of War. I love God of War but I'm never buying this remaster as it has no value for me. MS knows a straight remaster of Gears wouldn't sell very well (for Gears), because who's going to buy it? So they've put in new content and the game will sell better because people will re-buy it for that new content.

I don't believe Gears will debut well.
