If we look how bad Wii U is selling, and what Nintendo already released and what will release on Wii U yet, I can understand and I will be satisfied owner (I am already satisfied Wii U owner) if Nintendo abandoned completely Wii U in 2017. or after around 4 whole years. I think if some other companies were in similar situation they would cut their support for owners much earlier.

Thats true because you are not thé center of thé world, im just gicint thé thought of a lot of european users, surely with higher expectations than a console with much less good games and big IP from Nintendo and 3rd party than Wii and GC

i don't know who has a ton of hope for NX, i think those are just fanboys from Nintendo and other consoles so they can mock each other if NX would be successful or bomb big time.

I'm not a day 1 Wii U owner and would do the same on NX if there are enough games that i would like to play with NX. Building my game libraries for PS4, PS3, Wii U and Wii. Plus 3Ds. so i'm good with different consoles and a ton of game backlog to begin with. Let's see how different or similar the NX would be

It pretty much goes for any person and their favorite company really. PS fans want sony consoles to do well, Xbox fans want the Xbox brand to do well, and well, Ninten fans want the Ninten consoles to do well.

After a huge failure like the Wii U, we can only hope that Nintendo can actually fix their mistakes.

It's not rocket surgery, and if they can't fix anything, Nintendo is kinda screwed...

Umm what? The Wii U is not a financial failure. It's a commercial failure, but not a financial one, at least as far as the general numbers are concerned since it makes profit for each one sold now and is actually sustaining. Behind the scenes it's much harder to say, that's for Nintendo's book and accountants to deal with. There is always optimism for a new console, this is no different. That's not logic since you didn't put down any logical reasons for what you believe. What you did is put down what you think will happen with no backing at all. The only point you made was about third parties but then reverted it by saying it's not even necessary to have them as shown by the PS4.

I remember a time... yes. Not so long ago when people gave that same hope to Wii U.

It's a new console. We see this optimism every time a new console is to be released.Regardless of what company it is.

Because it seems like Nintendo learned by their errors with the 3DS and Wii U, so we all hope they'll get their things right this time

Yes ,i remember very well, WiiU was supposéd to be Wii HD, réconciliation with gamers and 3rd party, what empty promises It was said it would Bring balance between third party/first party, not leave it in darkness
