I just rewatched Watchmen for like the fourth time some days ago and I was thinking about how powerful Doctor Manhattan is. Made me wonder how he could stack up against the almost untouchable Superman.

So, who do you think would win?

I think I'd have to pic the good Doctor on this one. HE is damn near godlike.

Dr. Manhattan...if he wanted to fight at all.

But then there's Superman Prime...

Dr. Manhattan.

Immensely powerful and seemingly invulnerable to all harm; even when his body is disintegrated, he can reconstruct it from atoms.

complete awareness of and control over atomic and subatomic particles. He can alter his body's size, coloration, density, and strength. He does not need food, water, or air, and is, for all intents and purposes, immortal.

He can teleport himself and others over great (even interplanetary and perhaps interstellar) distances.

Is able to phase any part of his body through solid objects without damaging them, produce multiple copies of himself which function independently of each other, project destructive energy, disintegrate people (possibly by removing their intrinsic fields, which causes the target to come apart explosively), create force fields, transmute and create matter, move objects without physically touching them (telekinesis), reverse entropy, and, he suggests, create life and walk on the surface of the sun.

Wouldn't Dr.Manhattan create kryptonite out of the air? Or turn Superman's brain into a black hole? It's been established in the Watchmen that Manhattan can alter matter at will, and his body is not tied to any restriction. As powerful as Superman is, Manhattan is pretty much a physical god.

Due to his non-linear perception of time, he sees the past, present and future simultaneously.

Superman is like a ant to him.

Manhattan can not be defeated by force, he could simply break down any opponent at the atomic level. This "fight" would last exactly as long as Manhattan decided it to last.

Both Dr Manhattan and Goku can teleport Sups into the deepest section of a red sun.

Shouldn't this be something more like: Dr Manhattan vs The Fenix?
