Just to mention a few of my favorites games for the last gen. Never cared about metacritic.com
Generally it does but sometimes I don't agree with the scores of some games.

"MK8" and "Bayonetta 2" are my favorite Wii U games.
"DKC: Tropical Freeze" was criminally underrated by most of the gaming press, though. On the other hand they rated "Bloodborne" highly, and it's the only game on my PS4 that I give a crap about...

Well, i liked it, the dialogues changed a lot and also the battles. You could just put random encounter in 0 and sprint towards the last temple. I think it is possible to do 5-8 pretty fast actually, if one wants.
I'm not going to type up my whole collection, but I'll give you a for instance:
The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds is my favorite 3DS games and it has a 91%, pretty spot-on. However, I'd rate Pokémon Y as one of the worst mainline games in the series, down there with Red and Blue, yet it was praised by critics as one of the best and had an 88% Meta score.
In that case, it's a give-and-take with online raking or critic sites of any sort for me. Whether it's movies, games, books, etc.

Nope I mostly disagree with metacritic scores. God Of War III has a lower metacritic score than Uncharted 2 and 3 but I like it far more than both of those games. There are many other similar cases.
i retired them before i heard of them. i was trained in the CGIQ academy, to buy and play the games i want without regard to reviews. obvious exceptions are wrestling games.
