That's what I've had to do, but as a person who pays attention to utility bills, the 3 hour standby mode just irks me.

In other words, I prefer to turn things OFF-off, not sort-of-off, lol...  I turned off all other rest mode functions to minimize the power draw so that it's basically ONLY for charging the controller, but plugging in the controller after every play session is a bit excessive if you think about it.  It's not a big deal nor time consuming, but again, compared to the other two... >.> hahaha!

I see.

You're talking to someone who leaves their PC on 24/7 with every possible electronic in stand-by or on chargers. So, quite a different mindset when it comes to all that.

I agree with you.  I will openly admit that the ps4 is my least favorite (but still beloved) console right now but it seems like he's grasping for reasons, now.  I mean my WiiU and Xbox One are NEVER off.  They're always downloading updates, games, etc. Suddenly standby mode on PS4 is the problem?!?

And I still don't get the AA vs long USB cable debate we just had.  XB1 is my favorite console but i wish ithad a rechargeable built in battery. To each his own, I guess.

Agree with the battery life. I bought a large cable for that reason. It sucks

Yea I looked around to see if I had a long enough cable sitting around, but I don't ._.  I REALLY don't want to have to buy a cable JUST for this reason, lmao... I might go the 2000mAh battery replacement when the warranty runs out on the contoller! xD

But you rather buy batteries for controllers?

To each their own. I hate buying batteries over and over. I play games a lot so I just plug a charge cable into the controller and forget about it til it charged all the way.

Nice, I wanted to get the batman PS4 too but sadly not enough money.

You can always save up! My systems were all staggered, it's not like I can afford to buy them all at once!

Oh man, we could never be roommates, hahaha!  I borrowed someone's wattage meter power strip, and even though some components have changed since then, my PC draws anywhere from 130-150 watts at idle... At full load, it was closing in on 800 watts!  *sigh* ._.

I also turn off every light except the room I'm in, and use cruise control to drive the speed limit to save gas, lol... And it's ironic considering that my car has more than enough power to literally breathe gas, though I don't consider it "fast" by any standards!

You probably also missed the post where I both stated all of the consoles need some sort of "battery life" solution, but that the scenarios initially play out very differently, putting the DS4 in the least favorable position until a longer-term solution is employed.  Pun intended on "longer", lmao

For $3 I bought a 10 foot cord for my DS4 so never worry about battery life, but do admit is is much less than DS3 was.

Hey you're that guy.

I read some of the thread and the op. I wasn't gonna bother with posting about your topic. I was just commenting about that post.

My first PS4 game review! The game's graphics are undeniably eye-popping, but is this the fitting end that the Dark Knight deserves to bring the Arkham series to its closure? Watch and find out!
