More or less. They likely will become much more of a media/licensing company pushing things like Mario and Zelda movies and the like. 

I mean, I don't think that will be the case. The Nikkei rumors were proven false. Miyamoto isn't making hardware decisions. Surprising doesn't mean weak. Mobile games aren't telling of the NX's hardware, but of Nintendo's brand expansion. I just don't see Nintendo making that sort of backseat console just yet. After the NX fails, absolutely. But not before one final swing.

Actually Nikkei has twice before leaked major Nintendo news ... they ran a story saying a 3DS XL was coming, Nintendo denied this the next day. Then Nintendo announced the 3DS XL like three weeks later. 

Nikkei reported that Nintendo would begin making smartphone games, Nintendo denied this too, but a few months later they announce they're making smartphone games. 

I tend to give Nikkei the benefit of the doubt here, their sources have been right before even when Nintendo has issued a denial. In fact, that might a sign that the report is in fact true. It's likely it's a Nintendo OS but it has some kind of Android back end or way to run Android apps, which Nintendo can say "well technically Nikkei's story wasn't true, because we're not using normal Android".

So more company doing fine that mean the gaming industy is fine, too

They need to buck the trend and make a console that sells enough for Nintendo software to make a profit. The Wii U will be the first main nintendo console to be a financial failure. There's no reason to bail now though, the next year will probably be the most profitable part of the Wii U's lifespan when the largest amount of users are active. It won't get back most of the money but they should make a profit up until NX.
They need to make a console more like the gamecube in that it's easy to program for and can handle the ports of other systems. They can add their gimmick but don't make it so expensive like the Wii U gamepad, the 3DS overcame the fact that people didn't care that much about 3D because it wasn't that expensive to add 3D.

Most importantly don't sell the hardware at much of a loss, maybe a tiny loss.

I just hope it succeeds or just sells well so there's less doom and gloom nintendo threads on here. You folks can be quite eccentric when it comes to nintendo. Love it one day and loathe it the next day.
