Forums - Gaming Discussion - What do you want from the FF7 remake?

It's got to keep
-The same characters
-The same story (by this I mean don't change or add too much that it's starts to feel different)
-The same locations
-The same music
-The same character quests
-The golden saucer
-The same battle system (although I'll admit I think it's a 99% chance that this will be different, square Enix just Won't have three high visualed characters standing there waiting for there chance to strike)
-The move list to have the same names

Things I wouldn't mind being different.
-An new party member (asking as there not replacing old ones)
-4 or even 5 party members being able to fight at the same time.
-new extra locations
-side quests.

I would rather them use the FF VII world and make a completely new/alternate story, I don't really feel a remake of the original is actually needed and would much prefer something new.

I'm a big fan of the FF series but as with all RPG's once you know they story even if its a remake there not as fun.

I'm glad no one said open-world yet. That is just not possible with a game of the scope of FF7.

People may be in for some disappointment. FFVII was many people's first RPG and seeing those pre-rendered cutscenes mixed with gameplay made us jizz in 1997. The gameplay was awesome but I think that gaming has evolved do much that nostalgia has set this game up for failure. Ever change is going to piss people off and the things that don't change are going to piss them off even more?

For me? I just want some upskirt shots when Cloud dresses like a woman. And let me punch Cait Sith.

and hardmode

Use only 1 game save and go into Ancients Temple under leveled, save after red dragon. There's your hard mode.

Hopefully they will include it, it's part of it's charm.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

Optional coop like in FFIX, sure its not much but it can get your significant other/buddy to get into the game.

I want to see Yuffie and Vincent in the ending FMV. xD

I want it to be turn-based and have random encounters but we all know that's not going to happen. :(
